Description of "Test mode" and "Verify" checkboxes
blutach replied to Bosanek's topic in ImgBurn Suggestions
It does a bit by bit comparison - the presence of MD5 hashes attests to that. Test mode writes a disc without applying power to the laser. It is there to see that all works OK. Regards -
IFO files are navigation and info files. They do not contain any video information at all. If the VOBs look OK, then you are all set. Regards

It looks across all drives. Do a search in Betas for posts by LUK! on "Maximum File Size". I reported this originally, when Firey's PC took forever to report back it was NTFS. LUK! said, untick it and presto, ImgBurn fired up ASAP. However, I am not at all sure if this is related to build mode folder selection, but it's sure worth a try. Regards

@JohnnyBob There is a tiny bug in the Preview if you click < across a non-seamless cell - it does nothing (if the cell is seamless, it works fine!). The preview, which is based on PgcEdit preview has not been updated for this as the bug was only just discovered the other day. I can confirm the PgcEdit prevew has fixed this bug and it will be passed to LUK! when ready. I expect you'll get an update in the next version. Till then, use the << or just go back one cell and view it - it shows the last 10 seconds and then plays cell 2. Regards

And what about that thingy if you are on a home network? This can slow things down because "if you have a disconnected mapped drive, it can hang for a bit as Windows tries to connect it". The solution is to untick the setting General --> Maximum File Size. Regards
-
Glad to see it worked. As an aside, you should not put adhesive labels on your DVDs. Regards

You now know why those shithouse Memorexes were "on sale". So, go get some Verbatim, +R, 2.4x, MKM-001-00, Made in Singapore - they really do work. Update your firmware - that might help - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2114 Regards

If you buy, you can back it up and it will play. If you steal (for that's what using torrents is all about), you are liable to download incompatible/badly authored stuff (and that''s what's happened here). Despite what you might think (and others in this thread might have expressed), we do not encourage piracy here. We are very mindful of legal issues. So, no help from me, at least. Go spend the money - it'll make you feel honest. Regards
-
Sadly, you bought the cheapest nastiest rubbishiest media on the market. Go back and trade them for decent stuff like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Also, your firmware is years out of date - update it from here. Your burner is very old - be looking to get a new one in the next little bit. Regards

Read mode - how do I skip empty sectors on poorly burned disks?
blutach replied to 1Johnny1's topic in ImgBurn Support
Try ISOBuster for more flexible sector viewing. ImgBurn does a 1:1 copy in read mode. If the sectors are bad, it'll take its time. Some decrypting programs can write over bad sectors, but usually, you will end up with a bum disk. Try cleaning and polishing the discs. Regards -
Is something trying to reset your DMA perhaps? Kill the handle and try again. Regards
-
Have you applied any patches to the firmware? If so, reload the stock one (and yes, the SB03 is the latest). Regards

Imgburn gets real huffy after it sees one of my cuesheets
blutach replied to slothman's topic in ImgBurn Bugs
Maybe try to burn it again, but change the cuesheet. Regards -
In Process Explorer, do a find. Type in "Cdrom" and see what the results are. Kill the thread for anything other than ImgBurn Regards

Imgburn gets real huffy after it sees one of my cuesheets
blutach replied to slothman's topic in ImgBurn Bugs
Shouldn't this be mode 2? Regards -
Sysinternals redirects to Microsoft's site, which contains all the progs. In fact, a new version of Process Explorer was released yesterday. Regards

You need to make the chapter points seamless. Open the final project (with chapters) in PgcEdit. Double click on the title and tick all the seamless boxes. OK and save. Kiss goodbye to end of the world problems. Regards
-
Aaah - should have read the whole thread again. Doesn't DVD Flick give the option to make chapters at reasonable points? Seems we are seeing quite a few end of the world's lately. Regards

VobBlanker has nothing to do with DL discs. It simply blanks unwanted bits of video (eg extras, FBI warnings). Regards
-
See the guides section on how to burn a DL disk using build mode. Regards

Welcome to ImgBurn Forum. Edit it in wordpad or create new. ImgBurn does not allow cue sheet editing. Regards

Have you tried the Verbatim, +R, 2.4x, MKM-001-00, Made in Singapore, or some other one (the made in India are reputed to be inferior). Certainly the Ritek (Memorex) ones are greatly inferior. Also, check for firmware updates for your burner. Failing that, it might be time for a new burner. That model is a couple of years old now. Regards
-
What you do now, is from the Windows desktop, press F1 and type in "Convert to NTFS". Follow the very simple instructions (the correct drive for you is C: - drive D: is OK) and in 5 minutes, you will have an NTFS partition which will be able to burn that ISO. Regards

Why the 2 threads on the same subject? Regards
