  1. That means little when burning a DL disk. It may burn CDs fine (it's at a different focus) and even SL DVDs, but getting it to focus on layer 1 might be problematic. That's where a cleaning might come in handy. Regards
  2. Sometimes your drive's WOPR kicks in and just says, given current conditions I can't kick this up any higher. This happens with everyone. Regards
  3. ImgBurn just feeds the data stream to the drive whose hardware and firmware dictate what goes on from there. If the drive kicks up a tad, it's probably more like a rounding thing. Anyway, welcome to ImgBurn Forum. Regards
  4. Great post Shelley and welcome to ImgBurn Forum. Hope you can hang around some more. Regards
  5. Answer to Q1 is "yes". Q2: ImgBurn allows you to select a LB based on your preference. You can keep the original one or move it somewhere else if you like. Regards
  6. You got a normal, garden variety write error. Read and implement this. Regards
  7. You'll first need to combine them into a single DVD project using something like DVD Remake Pro (if you wanna keep menus - guide on site) or DVD Shrink if you don't (see http://www.dvdshrink.info/compilation.php for a guide to the latter). Regards
  8. Yeah - it can't deal with ANY and ALL protections. It doesn't rip disks at all. It's a burning application. Regards
  9. Either the writer has has it or you have run into the rare bad batch of Verbs. See if you can find another writer and try a project on that. Does it write single layer disks OK? Regards
  10. You could try some new firmware - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2179 Or you may have a bad batch Check your DMA is on and perhaps give the drive a clean - it's getting a bit long in the tooth. Regards
  11. Speak fer yourself spinner! Regards
  12. LOCO (and, to an extent, Altercuno), Some software companies push beta releases on the general public and basically have them be their beta testers. M$ did this with IE7 and other stuff, including Vista (yuk!), IIRC. In the DVD field, we see stuff like AnyDVD and DVDFab pushing out many betas. Sometimes, something doesn't quite work right with a new feature or idea. That's a fact. Witness the crap going on at the DVD Fab forum with rips not being compliant. So, releasing betas, while it has its advantages of having a wider test group, also in a way, impugns the product when things don't go 100%. So, what we've got now with ImgBurn 2.3.2 is a rock solid product which everyone will have success with - providing they use good media and have good hardware and firmware etc. To put experimental stuff out there, just for the sake of others having access to it (because this is all it would be), can only take the reputation of the product down from this verrrry lofty perch. Yes, the Betas miss something every now and then but if serious bugs emerge, they will be fixed. Having 100,000 beta testers won't catch this, as invariably, the beta versions will become the released ones. "Why doesn't this work?" screams new forum member x, who has recently downloaded a beta. Doubtless, it will be because he is trying to burn CMCs at 16x with firmware that is out of date on a rusty burner. When we are ready to support a new version, we'll support it. Till then, we support the official release. Yes, some people are getting impatient for a new release - but when LUK! is ready, he'll release it. He has already given some indication of timing (please search for it). Hope you understand where I'm coming from on this. Regards
  13. Read the guides on how to use build mode. See link in my signature. Regards
  14. Definitely go to build mode and select your files or folders - see the guides. Regards
  15. PgcEdit can help you jump to the main movie (or anywhere else) on insert - guide on site. It can also help you edit menu buttons, but you'll need to know some VM code to do that. Regards
  16. Asked and answered many times before LOCO. Regards
  17. And delete the secondary chaneel and reboot to fix your DMA. See link in my signature. Regards
  18. LMAO Now boss, there are still some folks who insist on W98 and even W95! Regards
  19. Ho hum. Has to happen occasionally, doesn't it? Happy burning Regards
  20. Welcome to the forum Digerati and a real good 1st post! You hopefully won't have long to wait for Audio CD burning. Regards
  21. And this tab only becomes apparent when you build to an ISO (ninstead of to the device). If you build to a device, it'll know what's in it. Regards
  22. Yes - corny is right. I wanted to delete the post, but can't on this board. Regards
  23. This is a very rare error. You need to check all the usual suspects - the blank disk, DMA, firmware, the cable connection and the drive itself as well as whether your SPTI/ASPI is installed OK. Does this happen on all blanks? Or is it an isolated occurrence? Try with a DVD+R (not RW) and see if it burns OK. Regards
  24. It's hard to know because your memory is bad. This happened to me a couple of years back though and the DVDs were fine. Obviously, the ones that verified OK (and work OK) shouldn't be an issue - maybe just the HD transcode. In terms of what verify does, it is a 1:1 bit comparison of the data. You can tell by your logs as it also generates MD5 hashes. Regards
