I 17:00:39 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: CMC MAG. AM3) (Speeds: 4x, 8x, 12x, 16x)
Once you get the DMA sorted get some decent discs...Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.
-
Lite-On or LG would be a good choice.
-
BTW, what brand discs are you using? Post a log please.
-
Copy time was way too long - 40min total
What was your read speed set to? You can change it ya know...

START->MY COMPUTER right click et cetera et cetera et cetera

Those discs were good in their day, but that is long time past in PC years...and the last support for your drive was almost four years ago. I think your best option would be to get a new drive.

I managed, finaly, to build and write to my DVD, but it stopped because of some error.
post a log.
As for writing to a CD/DVD I have software that will do this.Is it called Imgburn?

In my Dad's family it's mostly assholery: an incurable, highly irritating condition
That runs on my dad's side too and I've unfortunately inherited it, just ask my wife and most of the people I work with.

Sweet, here are the new restrooms located at most poll locations

Might still be looking for the FAQ's

Go back to using Verbatim
You think it'll work then?
It does for most.
-
Congrats, happy burning.
-
Suggested media include Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden for SL and Verbatim only for DL.
(probably crappy) media.Any comments on the drive blu?

Must have been a big itch...a whole 17 minutes, you really shouldn't spend so much time in one place either.
-
and what a beautiful log it is.
-
Please read the pink bit at the top of the forum and do as it says.
I don't see any logs in this hijacked thread yet.

So I'm not sure what that pop up from Vista was about.
It's vista, what more can be said?
-
Lite-On make solid drives.

Poor guy....yall probably gave him a complex from all the sarcasm! lol
Hardly sarcasm, just banter until a log file appears
Banter? You mean that thingy across the top of the page that tells you to post a log....no wait, that's called a banner. D'oh

Total Physical Memory: 261,616 KB - Available: 70,408 KB
A little short on resources too, you won't want to do any multitasking while burning...RAM is cheap, might want to add some to make life easier.

Power Calibration error solutions
Try another brand of DVD-/+R or DVD-/+RW media. This is the most common cause of OPC errors.
Update the firmware of your recorder. Check the manufacturer's website for the latest version.
Check your power connectors, loose connections do occur. Don't share power with other devices.
It needs its own power connector. If the error occurs with an external recorder, Check the USB cable
and connections.
Try different configurations, such as taking the DVD-ROM to the primary IDE bus as slave and have only the recorder connected to the secondary IDE bus as master.
Clean or have your DVD burner serviced. There are cleaning kits available. Sometimes just a gentle appplication of canned air can remove dust blocking the laser.
Don't forget in some cases it can be due to unremoved copy protection, which we can't talk about here, and faulty discs from the manufacturer as in commercial movies.

We can play 20 questions all day long
So you don't want to play spinner?
Has anyone else had this problem? It happens all the time now.Tons have, now if you'll post the log as requested on several occasions maybe we can help get you sorted.

Did you forget the correct punctuation "?" Donta, or was it a statement and not a question....

Is that where those things are?
blank disc after burning?

A log could prove useful.
Until then, your firmware is older than my granny. Current version is 1.29 and can be found here:
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2220
Also put the disc that your standalone claims is blank, but that Imgburn verified back in your burner and fire up Imgburn in Read or Write mode and copy/paste all the information contained there in this thread.
