See what your saying db, but it still irks me. CMC can produce excellent dyes..... ie Verbatim. Can't this company see that by making their own brand with the better dye that yes, they will lose some profit on each disc, but will then more then make that lost profit back by selling more of their discs with the good dye. Seems I would want my company to have a reputable standing in the marketplace rather than a discredited one. Shit if they sold these better discs at just under what Verbatim sells theirs for, they might even see their marketshare increase once they regained the consumers trust.
-
Your Kidding of course........ aren't you. I never knew that ! As you say then, that begs the question, if CMC can make dye for top media like Verbatim, then why the hell can't they do it for themselves. Would make more sense to capture a bigger share of the market by making good quality CMC MAG discs and selling for a bit higher price then to settle for a lower end of the market by producing cheap crappy dyes for there own labeled discs...........

Sad stuff, too think back in the days of VHS and Cassette media, TDK was a highly regarded name........ . Too bad they sold out to profits over quality............

opo030............ 08:28:02 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: CMC MAG-E01-00) (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x) This is one problem right here CRAPPY MEDIA. Your burner can't read the medium correctly. Try getting some Verbatim or Taio Yudens and see the difference.

100% agree with Dontasciime and Shamus. Friend had me check out his puter after a 10 second power outage in his locale. Apparently when the power blinked off and on there was a surge as it came back on and fried his power supply, and mobo, including CPU. Basically I had to just build him another system, salvaging what I could from his old one. He now has a very good surge protector protecting his computer. Even the smallest power variations can fry electronics............ #39;(

JohnthePilot, Thanks for getting back to us....... happy burning

@ lmao2k ............. LoL

Ron, I do believe it does that already, if I'm understanding the question right. I go to my doc>my videos>pick the correct image>right click, and burn with imgburn is top of the list in the drop down. You may have to go into tool>folder options> file types> scroll down to .ISO extension and tell it to open with IMGburn.

My God, Chewys lost it totally..................... mmmmmmmmmmmmphmmmhhhhhhhhmmmphh

Tell you one thing, the US and China and South Korea, even Russia, are not impressed at all........ I think the shit is about to hit the fan......... and its gonna land all over North Korea...

Well mate, don't give up just yet. Other forum members will undoubtly read this thread and might be able to shed more light on the subject then I. Kinda think it might be the burner on its way out of this world, best to wait for other members to see this and reply though. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
-
Well mate, all I say is try renaming the file to >ISO from >IMG and see what happens. Went through this myself once a couple of years ago................ Drove me nuts........... #39;(
-
ZION, when you open IMGburn and go to tools>settings, is .IMG checked off in the file associations box? I don't think just changing the file name will honestly make any difference. Don't want you to waste another disc. Imgburn does recognize .IMG file associations.

17:05:54 Source File: C:\Documents and Settings\IZON\Skrivbord\rebound.dvdr-lolelite.img ZION, fustrating isn't it, Ok try renaming your source file to IZON\Skrivbord\rebound.dvdr-lolelite.ISO Then reburn at 4X and see what happens. Get back to us.

14:49:30 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: MCC 02RG20) (Speeds: 4x; 6x; 8x) As Blutach mentioned, try burning at 4X. Your media speeds are 4,6,and 8x speeds.
-
ZION, Don't get me wrong mate, your media may be fine its your burner that doesn't like the media, You say this this happens with other media as well, It could very well be that your burner is starting to bite the dust. Not sure where you live but new burners are very reasonable now and buying a new one just may solve your problem. I've gone through a burner in a year while I have one here thats 5yrs old and still going strong. You've updated your firmware, cleaned your lazer, checked your DMA, used other media with the same error message popping up........... might be time for a new burner..... Pioneer, plextor, benq.... all real decent machines..........
-
IZON, I think the problem may just be that your burner doesn't like the media your using. Have you tried burning to different media and seeing if that makes a difference? How old is that Asus burner your using. ?

John, Nero probabley burned the image in a format which your stand alone player doesn't recognize, hence the "No Disc" message. Computer drives are able to play more varities of formats because of the different programs that they have access to to do so, hence playing through Nero showtime in this case. All the DVDs' I play on my PC, play through Power DVD, having been burnt with Imgburn from a .ISO file.

JohnthePilot, Your above statement is correct. Burn the image from your harddrive to media and you should not have any problems. Let us know what happens
