  1. Luna 711, Are you sure you were in write option and not build option? Build option would put the image onto your Hard drive instead of burning onto a blank disc............ As Corny said Please post a log so we coulkd check out whats happening.
  2. http://www.blankmedia.ca/ http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/stap_home.asp Cee-Dees, If you have a Staples in your neck of the woods, they always usually have verbatim in stock. That failing Blankmedia.ca offers Verbatim and is very reliable and fast delivery.
  3. I myself use a Benq DW 1640, Pioneer 110D, and an LG. All dual layer burners. You'll get lots of different responses for this question. I guess its really up to yourself what you like taking into account price, quality, and reputation of whatever burner your looking at. Plextor is another great brand although usually a bit more pricey than the above mentioned ones.
  4. Thats really dependent on the quality of media used and your burner ( keeping firmware up to date ). Img will poll the media to see what speeds its comfortable at burning with. Burn proof being enabled is your safest bet for a quality successful burn.
  5. Kakarotto: As Polo mentioned above, just set your burn to max and make sure you have burn proof enabled, everything will be fine for you.
  6. So i shouldn?t be afraid if it burns over my set burn speed? Because x1 has always been x4 with this media i use. No worries there kakarotto, Imgburn is an amazing program............. .
  7. kakarotto, You had a successful burn, No?. Looks to me like you set the burn speed at 1X and the media can't burn at that speed........ 00:22:44 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: MCC-004-00) (Speeds: 4x; 8x; 12x; 16x) Your burner fiqured that out by reading the disc and just let itself burn at the max speed it sensed the media was comfortable at. Imgburn overwrote your manual 1X setting since it was irrelevent. in this case.
  8. Tiger,This is the write type, SAO for CD burns and DAO for DVD burns, I do believe Imgburn auto configures these for you when you burn depending on the media used.
  9. Unbelieveable mods.................
  10. Boumticlad, I believe your problem stems from the fact that Imgburn is a BURN IMAGES only program. Your DVD is probabley copyguarded so Imgburn can't recognize it, whereas DVDD would have. Unfortunately, due to legal constraints, we can't help you out any further with your question. Search around for what might help you out.

It's those damn karaoke lessons getting in the way of the important stuff........... Heigh Ho Heigh Ho.................
  12. FatherCash, Follow Polos' link, it is the correct firmware update for your burner. Also perhaps set the write speed to MAX ( auto mode) which will allow Imgburn to gage the burn speed to the media acceptance.
  13. Glad it worked out for you mate.............
  14. Skipit, If I understand your question right................. build mode > Advanced tab > bootable disc tab. I presume this is what your looking for............
  15. Only the Img Darkside image maker knows for sure Ken................... #39;( #39;(
  16. Errrr...... Glad we had the chance to enlighten you Sam..............
  17. BobFlyer, device 1= PIO...PIO (I think this is the DVD) second on 80 cable? This should be on "DMA" or at least "DMA if available". This could be one reason for your slow burns. Secondly you need to update your firmware for your liteon......... current version your on is HS07 New version HS0D. Go here to update: www.rpc1.org
  18. Well I mpersonally love it. Great app with lots of excellent options to help me with my most sacred images............. 10/10
  19. Mikey, apparently the burner can't read back what it just burn't. Bad media or else your burner just doesn't like these sonys. Try some Verbatim or Tys and see what happens........
  20. I too used to "accidentally" find things in my pocket on my way into concerts. Only what I found was a good deal more, ah, combustible and contibutory to the audio-visual experience than a pocket tape recoder. funnily enough, Security was more interested in finding booze than anything else. One guy had to ditch a plsatic container that looked very much like a binocular's case. One of the "caps" for the "eye piece" was in fact the lid. The whole thing was filled with liquor. Now just what might that have been PM.....................
  21. Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: MCC-004-00 Book Type: DVD+R Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 1 Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP) Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 2,491,711 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 0 Found some Verbs +R on sale at Staples up here........ 25/$6.98 Bought ten tubs........ Will just have to bitset to dvd-rom to make sure of compatibility. Great price though.............
  22. Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: ProdiscF02) (Speeds: 1x, 2x, 4x) Here's one reason, Prodisc, not known for their consistance discs, you can get a fairly decent batch and then get a bad batch...... :& . Your firmware is up to date, so it might be just the crap media thats holding you back. If you can't find Tys, then Verbatim is also an excellent brand to get.
  23. Angel. If your still getting those error messages even after upgrading your firmware, then Yes, best to but some Verbatim or Taio Yuden blank media. These are the best media to burn to and you should have successful burns no problem. Ps Verbridium............... Laughing with you, not at you.............
