davidw89, Nope, just use Imgburn, much improved over the latter for layer breaks. Imgburn will show you the best possible layer break position (s) and guide you to the best one. If more than one, I find using the layerbreak indicated one pgc 1 works fine. As mentioned above, please disable anyDVD program as it will cause all sorts of problems with the layerbreaking capabilities of Imgburn.............

Hey db, been following this problem of yours up to now and just want to suggest maybe getting the CD for your motherboard out and under Driver Menu look for a USB2 driver and try reloading it, if it exsists. Your probabley already tryed this but just thought I'd mention it....................

DOK, know its a bummer ,making frizbies, but a log definitly would narrow things down for us by showing us whats going on thats causing you to make coasters in the first place.............. What was the image you were trying to burn...... format wise?

DOK, we really could use a log of the failed burn. The next time check off save log and post it up for us. It could be quite a few things and the log would help us narrow it down. What was the image you were trying to burn........ ?

A_T, This is why people should always download Imgburn from this site. The arthor has never and will never include anything in his program but the main program itself. NO SPYWARE/MALWARE or NO VIRUS of any kind EVER. I for one always get programs from their original sites when possible.

erdoke, as LUK said, this is the problem with some virus scanners. All you can do is notify the company and hopefully they will put out an update. I downloaded V2 with AVG free running and had no problems. Like any thing else, its always a catchup game to keep ones programs up to date. Sorry not to be of more help, but your probabley not the only member with this annoying problem............

Just a note to all members downloading V2 Of Imgburn. The warning of a PECompact Virus in Imgburn is FALSE. PECompact is simply a compresion program used to compress larger programs to make them easier to download from indivisual sites. Imgburn contains NO VIRUS what-so-ever. Download Imgburn as usual. Some anti virus scanners will pick up PECompact as a virus. IT IS NOT. Download V2 and enjoy............... Footnote: This problem now has been corrected with returning to an earlier version of the PE compression program

Hemmo, almost positive this warning is false positive. I believe PE compact is a compression program used for larger downloads to make them faster and easier for the downloader to get. DVD.org is a very reputable site .

That possibly might be the problem right there, DVD unit in van doesn't like CMC MAG, as do any of us.................. This is a prety cruddy disc dye, lots of people have problems with their players reading these brand of discs.

buecrab, check out your owners manual that came with the odessey, there might be a line or two in the section that has to do with DVD entertainment unit, which tells you what kind of discs ( -r, +r, etc.. ) that are reconized by the installed player. Which format did you burn to ?
