  1. Happy Birthday Mr Clown......... No clowning around, get totally s--t faced tonite.
  2. Just started to find the Verbs up here in Ottawa with the AZO dye on them, They are so far just excellent, no frizbees and nice scans. Excellent playback quality too.
  3. Hey Liberachie, don't forget to post back about that new burner and how you're making out......
  4. Ken, Totally agree, think its time for stickbuilt to get a decent burner. @ thanks.
  5. Been doing some checking around and your not the only one having problems using this model of burner to do D/L discs. Quite a few people are having difficulty with this burner and firmware updates don't seem to help. Perhaps another forum member will read this and perhaps have another angle on solving your problems.

sjakkddesy, Sorry , but this is the wrong forum for asking those type of questions. We're unable to help you with anything along the lines of copy protection removal. Imgburn is just a burning application. Perhaps using a popular search engine will help you out.
  7. Your right back to where you started with this HI firmware....... hmmm...... try flashing to HJ firmware only and then try the burn again using your Verb media. Have you ever cleaned the burner using one of the available lens cleaner kits, pretty cheap and easy, just put it in burner and let it spin around and do its job. Just a thought, depending on how old your unit is.
  8. if your burning to D/L media, make sure your write speed is 2.4X.......... Could you post a log again of your next failed burn attempt. You might want to leave your burner firmware on the HJ update without reflashing back to HI firmware.
  9. Breast assured....... I dream about em every night............
  10. stickbuilt, just double checked again, HP is definitely showing HJ as the current newest firmware........
  11. I think it might, Don't really understand why HP is showing HJ as being the newest even though it has a earlier release date then the HI firmware. These are for the HJ firmware Enhancements Write Strategy Update for recording quality improvement CMC DVD+R 16X <LI>RITEK DVD+R 16X <LI>RITEK DVD+R 8X <LI>MBI DVD-R 16X <LI>CMC DVD-R 8X <LI>MBI DVD-R 8X <LI>CMC DVD+R DL 2.4X <LI>RITEK DVD+R DL 2.4X <LI>MKM DVD+R DL 8X <LI>MKM DVD+RW 4x Flash your unit to HJ firmware and see what happens....... you can always flash it back again if neccessary.
  12. Your Welcome stickbuilt. Get back to us and let us know how its going.......
  13. Destination Device: [1:1:0] HP DVD Writer 740b HI24 (F:) (ATA) The firmware shown here is HI24. The HP website is showing HJ24 for the most current firmware. Maybe another update came out? Where did you get your update from?
  14. Not to butt in here but there is a firmware update for your burner stickbuilt. http://search.hp.com/query.html?lang=en&am...contact_hp.html I think this may be your problem.
  15. N.S.W. All I can tell you about this subject is to search around. Google would be a starting point.
  16. check out the quality of picture when you compare the same img burnt on sony or verbs/tys. There is a marked clarity difference expecially with a HD television.
  17. WOW ! Boy would that mother hum nicely................. what a price tag though........... 10,320.50 cad. before taxes.................
  18. Yea, have to admit for D/L burning its a toss up between my Benq 1640 and my Pioneer 111D. Both give excellent finished products but as Corny said the Benq seems to produce better scan results then the Pioneer for some reason. The LG GSA 4163B does a great job of D/Ls as well but doesn't like to scan well for some reason, although once again the finished product is excellent.
  19. blikkies, The Sony media your talking about with accurcore I have tried. In my opinoin they are very hit and miss, some burn and verify okay, others not. As the other other members all agree on, just stick with Verbs or Tys for a consistent and successful burn and verify.
  20. Oh well that eliminates them. Thanks for looking that up polo. Welcome back MJ.........
  21. trung, , if you do have 2 duff images you will have to re - aquire these images properly in order to have a vieweable end product.
  22. Raymond, Something is oviously kicking up a fuss suddenly for some reason, Perhaps you should completely delete Imgburn from your system and download a fresh app of it from this website and give er a go again. This might be the easiest thing to do right off the start line.
