Well, after chatting with Roadrunner tech support, they concluded the same as I had and I asked if Big Finish had somehow added me to some kind of blocking list. I got a quick reply, in under 24 hours, saying my IP had been added to their bogon list, for whatever reason. They cleared it up and I can now safely resume perusing their site My thanks again to all who checked on this for me that they could still access it.

Well, I guess it's time for live tech support chat to see what's going on. Because, it's been this way since before Christmas, on both my Adelphia and RoadRunner accounts. But, the clincher is how I restored a virgin, factory partition and it still does it. That's a rather personal question, sir! They grow up so fast... but, still, that's something that should be kept in the family! No, you're not because you were either lazy or forgetful or both. Anyway, I had an order for the larger one through Diamond. Here, Previews is the main comic shop catalog. Occasionally, they offer some import items, including the large Cyberman. However, it was supposed to ship last month, and just last week was listed as a reorder. So, who knows? Thus, to make sure I got at least something, the Christmas Cyberman was pushed up to my birthday gift and the birthday Cyberman is now for Christmas.

Hey, I now know that the new Cybermen action figures are damn cool! I got tired of waiting for lfc to post pictures. Someone got one for me as a Christmas gift! It only just arrived, though, because of the overseas shipping at X-mas. (BTW, digi, your Cyber-post from overseas also arrived. ) There is a LOT of articulation and details on this thing! Far more than I expected. 180 degree ball joint neck. Ball jointed shoulders, wrists, waist, hips, and ankles. Jointed elbows and knees. This is a much better figure than Dapol's one from, when, 1989?

Well, fuck... I restored an entire virgin factory partition, only installing firewall/AV software, and it still doesn't load. Would someone check bigfinish.com for me again, just to be sure it's actually up and running?

I knew it was, I just needed verification. FUCK! I knew it... Time to start the restores, I suppose. It's something in my web settings, apparently. Because it's blocked now by both Firefox and IE. It was working fine up until just before Christmas. I've checked the hosts file and it's not blocked there. So, any idea what might be the problem? Firefox returns this: Problem loading page The connection has timed out The server at www.bigfinish.com is taking too long to respond. No other sites I know of are doing this to me. Any ideas? No, probably not. Thanks!

I didn't think to get any. Anyway, it always occurs when trying to start ImgBurn. The blue text logo comes up and then the error dialog. Sometimes, ImgBurn.exe will "crash" with a common Windows dialog that says it crashed, but, not always. I'll try to remember to screen shot it the next time it happens.

Could some of you do me favor? The Big Finish site has been down for me for over a week. Could someone check bigfinish.com and verify this or tell me if it's up or not? Thanks!

What exactly is Error Code 14? When it says there is not enough storage to complete the operation, what memory are we talking about here? System Resources? Error Code 14 is easily the most common error I get and the only way I've gotten around it is to close something that is open. So, I was wondering, LUK, what are the specifics on the memory referenced by error code 14? How can I free more of this memory? I've already disabled as many services, things in MSCONFIG, etc. that aren't needed, already. Thanks!

Can ImgBurn image said horror?

Well, this one... wow... it's just... well, wow... Something making the news rounds. Whether it's true or not is up in the air. Seems some kid got an NFL 2007 Game for his XBox 360. His parents got it a Circuit City. Imagine everyone's surprise when the kid inserts the game into his XBox 360... and, instead of a game booting up... it's porno showing two people... er... booting up...! Circuit City says they're investigating and that there have been no other such complaints thus far. There are only two solutions. Without seeing the actual disc in question and make sure it has a label, legitimate markings, and is fit securely to the disc, it is still possible it was done on purpose. A gag at some point in the process, either by the manufacturer or the purchaser. The other is the more likely one. That the factory hired to press an order of these game discs was also hired by a company to press an order of porn movie discs. Which could mean, and most likely would mean... that there are many other discs that are also likely swapped around in the same way!

Don't know what the DVDMovieAlbum is. I just use Tsunami or Nero Vision Express to read in the VRO into DVD-Video VOB standard.

If you've got one of those Panasonic DMR models like I've got, then, you'll want to use DVD-RAM for the most part as that's all you can really edit with, besides taking it over to the PC. Which I recommend doing, anyway. Reading the recorded VRO file to something that can read it and make your own DVD and edits from there. I've been using Panasonic's models since 2002 and I am well aware of the frustrations and limitations in those 4 years.

Only problem is how can the contents of the image not be static? It's not like the web page, where the Top button is an item on the page that has to be loaded. The image itself is, yes, but, it's contents cannot changed... unless someone edits it.

Ah, but, if you say you can't see volvo's editing, that directly implies he did the editing and you just can't see it. Which means, still, he did the editing. QED.

Oh, come on that has to be an edit! How can it show up on my computer, at home, in MSPaint but conveniently not show up in a second version? Why not try to reply to the original post and see what comes up? Plus, why is there a convenient rectangular shaped area that is slightly discolored and the 2nd one below that has a few little smudges where the overlay didn't quite fit?

Okay, so you see it now? Sorry to hear about the plumbing problems. I remember once waking up to one on a Sunday. There was a slight problem with the bathroom tap knobs. They were too lose and some water was dripping. I had isolated it down to the hot side and tapped it gently with a screwdriver to indicate the one I was thinking while thinking about it. To my complete surprise, the little H cover over the knob suddenly shot off into the air and bounced off the roof! Then, a huge spray of pressurized hot water started shooting into the ceiling! Had to turn off the water to part of the house as turning off the water under the sink wasn't doing the trick. The entire faucet assembly had to be replaced.
