STIM-U-LATE!
-
Well, even if it is, I won't be running it enough for it to get past. So, it still won't harm me, even if it is.
-
Well, remember the amazing suction power they demonstrated in Dalek...
-
I have.

Excite's only just now listing that item? It happened last Friday, I think.
-
Can't hurt too much to try it.

No, that was the Taco Bell's fault. The two restaurants together spell trouble. After all, Taco Bell's current ads, touting carne asada steak, point out the problem because, according to Taco Bell, carne asada is a Spanish phrase for rat.

Was she... oh, dear... Abducted By The Daleks?

Tried PowerGREP, but, it seems, well, too complicated for its own good. I tried a simple find file search. Using part of the file name in the root directory of a small drive. Never found the file, so, there must be some fucker settings, etc. that need to be enabled in order to find it. Nope. There's no need to be THAT unnecessarily complicated.

I've been to California. The only really prohibitive thing is the price of things. And, while I do disparage California over a former friend of mine, I must say, though, I'd have to unmercifully dump on Oklahoma. A real piece of work former friend of mine was born there, moved to, yep, California, and then moved back with his girlfriend to Oklahoma. I loved that scene from an episode of King Of The Hill where Hank and some guys from Oklahoma were just "arguing" back and forth in the form of reciting Oklahoma and Texas football team fight songs!

Well, at least it wasn't doing it over Turlough.

In keeping with further political correctness, we would like to announce that we here in Kentucky prefer to be called "entities from areas of sparse populations predominantly in the Southern United States" instead of rednecks.

I think the most people ever in the TARDIS was during the Dalek Masterplan. So many people came and went in that story: the Doctor, Steven, Katarina, Bret Vyon, Sara Kingdom.

Bad joke time! They complained when they were asked if they said they wanted rum and cock...

Looks like I will probably have to do just that. I knew I had to restore back to what I call the Basic Systems Install, which is the entire execution of a massive TXT file of instructions of what to install and settings to set from a bottom up restore of the factory default partition. Things were looking well until I converted to NTFS. Goddamn shit, I hate it! Ever since I've converted, disc scans find two unusued partitions and random errors in the files and descriptors that appear in Windows but not in the scan before Windows starts. I'm a tad worried it's a FAT problem, but, how can I fix it if it only shows up in Windows and NTFS is not accessible outside of Windows?
-
It wasn't on writes, so, it must have been on an erase. And, it was fluke like in that it would show up here and there.
-
I just restored back from a 2 year old backup. I'd been avoiding it for a week. To put things into perspective, there were 70 plus Windows Updates. Microsoft fuckers!

As for when I got the FSCTL LOCK VOLUME, it wasn't during a burn, I don't think. I forget when it was, obviously had to do with something trying to lock the drive for read or write, of course. But, if it was a burn, I'd think I'd have gotten it more often.
-
It wouldn't run. Said "Incompatible hardware. This software is not supported on this chipset."
-
Okay, then, I'll just try to run it. If nothing happens, nothing happens.

I just happened to stumble across this. 8.0.1.1002 of the INF chipset software installation utility. That worked for this board and you directed me to it on Major Geeks or something like that. But, the last version listed on Intel's page for the D875PBZ board is 6.3.0.1008 dated almost 2 years ago. Thanks for the links! the 8.1.1 version is newer than mine and I probably wouldn't have found it because Intel's page of downloads for the D875 lists only the 6.3 version. BTW, LUK, I don't have a RAID setup, just 1 SATA HD installed. Should I still get the RAID/AHCI Software - Intel? Matrix Storage Manager 5.5.0.1035 1/5/2006 software? Thanks again!
-
Actually, can you tell me something I can do that might repeat this LOCK VOLUME issue? I didn't note what it was that caused it in the log below and I forget what it was I was doing. So I can test my drivers. I know my lack of knowledge is becoming embarrassing at this point but how would I check the version of/updates for the matrix storage driver and/or my filter drivers (silicon image). As... I'm not even entirely sure what all of these are... Thanks!
-
I guess I have the latest. All I found on the site of downloads for my mobo that seemed remotely close to it was the Chipset Software Installation Utility, and I believe I've installed those drivers already. Plus, they're almost 2 years old. Oh, wait, if that's what I'm looking for, didn't Major Geeks or something like that have an update Intel didn't have?

No, the filthy version was Animal Up Cracks. :&

And know nothink!
