  1. no dual support for simultaneous burns? Imagine the mess I would get in then As corny said - its not difficult to use at all either, my PC was playing silly beggars and I couldn't see the second drive - one restart later and all was fixed !!
  2. The write speed depends on your burner and the firmware - I believe that with my new NEC 4550 I should be able to burn DVD+R DL at 8x !!! I haven't tried it yet tho as a) I have no DL film that I want to back up in its entirety and skint after Christmas !! Is your firmware all upto date ?
  3. Its ok db I was going to send him the child safe cutlery that our youngest has grown out of !
  4. So that's Bra's, leather and skimpy shorts that jmet doesn't look good in then !
  5. My wife keeps asking me to try and find that as well !!

Seems the Ritek G05s might be joining them in orbit too polo !
  7. Threw them wuffly to the flwoor ?
  8. I agree with polo, altho some other makes are pushing to be reliable the Verb DVD+R DL's are the only ones worth looking at the moment.
  9. Decent burn speeds tho ! I think corny did something similar altho he felt that the burn speed seemed to be shared between the two burns as he averaged 4x I think....
  10. That's one for Lightning UK! I too have never seen that message when burning DL discs. What media are you using and have you got an ImgBurn log you could post ?
  11. I will have a stab at the first part - as you yourself know DVDD is very sad but true, it does still work but going forward it will no longer be supported here in this forum nor by Lightning UK! Obviously you can continue to use any program that you wish, but ImgBurn is being developed and tested all the time to support new burners and functions like queuing your images to burn with multiple drives etc, generation of graphs in DVDinfoPro etc... You can make suggestions for future versions as well as get any problems that you may have looked at.... Going forward who knows what LUK! might include in the program ? Obviously it will be nothing that gets anyone's pants in a twist but this is just the begining for ImgBurn Plus (and this is the real clincher ) you get the humour of this forum !!!
  12. Is kev also nailing JT then ?? So thats jack, kirk and now kev, no wonder she has gone on hols - probably needs the rest !!
  13. 1655 = 1650 + lightscribe No other differences than lightscribe then ? Mmm well I wouldn't be that bothered about that anyway as I use printables on my Epson R200........ Maybe I ought to look again tonight....
  14. As you know I have put Dee's 1X5 FW for the NEC 4550 last night. Will try and burn some more this pm, be interesting to see if it makes any difference to the stock NEC one when its scanned.
  15. Is it the 1650 or the 1655 ? Now I think I have been looking for the wrong drive !!! Knowing me thats more than likely
  16. I don't know how to get the graph data displayed in Excel - perhaps its not supported ? The free version of DVDinfoPro does not bombard your computer with adware - if you read the info on the DVDinfo homepage you will see that its not like that all. In fact I ran a scan last night and there was no spyware or nasty stuff installed from DVDinfoPro....
  17. Sounds like the start of Flash Gordon to me

What colour is the sky in your world kirk ???
  19. So thats why you asked me to up my scan speed chewy to 8x the other day I am going to look out for a recognised scanner like the BenQ cos the results on the NEC do not seem to be consistent....
  20. I did the same as volvo - updated Zonealarm and let it ewideo go and it too found over 30 items !!! Thanks chewy....
  21. Why aren't you using the free version of DVDinfoPro to open your graphs ? http://www.speedlabs.org/downloads/Tools/D...rosplmirror.htm You can get it from the above link
  22. What drive have you got grampaw ? I have a NEC ND4550 that I have been using to do PI/PO tests, mostly its ok but it does tend to over report the PIE errors. Apparently this is known with this drive, I took some advice from Chewy and felt a bit better about my results after that. Generally any red is not good from a scan, but as I am sure you know standalone players are set up to cope with a lot of errors so that unless you had lots of really really bad red sections you probably wouldn't notice it. Below is one of my graphs using TYG02 media, as you can see that PIE errors are much more noticeable than the PIF's... Given the 96% quality rating tho I am not unduly worried
  23. I heard its penciled in for 30 February 2006
  24. If the dopey beta tester (me) could use it !! Got one lined up for tomorrow that will test the queue feature with multiple drives...
