  1. Hope it was not 156.00 €... Try with some Verbatims at 4x or 8x write speed.
  2. Your issue right now is this: It should say something like this: In your log the part about the speeds is missing, meaning that your burner with current firmware version installed do not like/support that disc id. Instead it tries to use a generic write approach that doesn't work as you are getting burning errors.
  3. New burner? It was released in 2004 and I can't seem to find any later firmware version than you already have installed. Your only chance seems to find media that this burner supports or replace it will a new one.
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum, sheri! Can you post a log of that attempt? It will also show us what model of burner you have.
  5. Can you post a log file from that latest burn. That it fails on the verify is not a good sign.
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum, Superkaka1983! Try to enable DMA again. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...dpost&p=967
  7. If you want to be sure that it will play on most stand alone players, it should be to DVD format.
  8. The issue might be that the flash goes wrong, but it can be so also with 'official' updaters. I never had a flash go wrong with Optiarc stuff and I through the years I have flashed my various burners many times - only with a Lite-On I have had a bad flash and that one could be fixed to life again with another update.
  9. The same issue if you try to install the other one that was one that page?
  10. Hi and welcome to the forum, Crangdo! You could try to install the latest firmware version for your burner. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Sony/AW-G170A/files.html
  11. Curious. What did you do to get it to work?
  12. Might be something that Daemon Tools installed. Never heard of it before.
  13. You could take a look at Compaqs support pages, to see if there are later drivers to install. http://www.compaq.com/cpq-country/cpq_support.html
  14. The pfc entry looks odd. Normally it should look something like this: So I would remove the pfc entry. The PxHelp20 is normally harmless.
  15. Press the button 'Copy To Clipboard' and then post it in a posting window. Some filters can be good to have.
  16. Have you had Daemon Tools installed? You can install this program (free and harmless) to find out what motherboard/chipset drivers you have installed on your computer. http://www.gtopala.com/
  17. Do you have this program installed? If so - that could be the problem. http://www.daemon-tools.cc/home Do you know the model of your mother board that is inside the computer - or what model of computer you have?
  18. If you right click on one of your writers in the Windows Device Manager and select 'Properties' and then you should see an error code and a button - search for solutions. It might be that you need to update the chipset drivers for the mother board. Sleep well!
  19. I just used the LITE-ON as an example. Yes, uninstall both and Windows will install them for you automatically after the restart. The ! sign is clearly a sign that they are not installed right as it is now.
  20. You could try to delete it in that window and then restart the computer and let Windows reinstall it. In the above example - right click on the LITE-ON LTR-483275 and select Uninstall.
  21. Hi and welcome to the forum, LeeWillis! Can you see your writer(s) in Windows Device Manager? (The one in the control panel).
  22. Some other program running at the same time that takes over the burner/connection?
  23. http://www.dvdflick.net/
  24. Sorry. I sometimes forget that there are laptops out there.
  25. Just copy and paste it into a window as the one you wrote your last post in. You only need to post the one of that burn. http://www.wikihow.com/Copy-and-Paste
