Can you post a burn log from ImgBurn - it might show something that explains why it can't be played.
You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
Not knowing the brand of your mother board - I found some others that had the same string issue as you.

It might be that you have the SATA burner attached to the JMicron controller. In the manual for my Asus mother board it states to avoid connecting cdrom devices to those channels/connections.
Verify will allow you to know that what was burned also was burned without any errors. More or less - it will re read your burned disc and compare it with the original source. So it's a good idea to have it enabled.
Hi and welcome to the forum, pirate1!
There is a later firmware to install for that writer - SB02.

8x write speed might work better.
Is it a Nvidia based motherboard?
Hi and welcome to the forum, shen293!
Your write error happens very late in the burn and the speed is not very fast.
Could be that you need to enable DMA.

When you write/save an image file to a hard disk - there is no finalizing part (closing of the disc). See it as a pure Windows copy from one part of the hard disk to another part of the hard disk - the only difference is that it's saved in a container (iso file).
Hi and welcome to the forum, ButchN!
Could be several issues that prevents the writing to go above 2.4x. Could you post a burning log from one of those slow burns?
You'll find it here - Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
Hi and welcome to the forum, DoktorD1313!
If you open up the burned disc in Windows Explorer - can you then see this strucure - with two folders and a lot of files in the VIDEO_TS folder?
You could have downloaded it for free here:

We should also take the time to post the scanning results of all that media we test. It's sad it's not posted in the forum.
