The easiest thing you could try is to move the cable to another SATA connector on the motherboard.

Can you post a burn log from ImgBurn - it might show something that explains why it can't be played. You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs

Could it be that you have it to overwrite the old log in the settings?

Not knowing the brand of your mother board - I found some others that had the same string issue as you. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f86/optiarc-ad-7201s-256203/ It might be that you have the SATA burner attached to the JMicron controller. In the manual for my Asus mother board it states to avoid connecting cdrom devices to those channels/connections.

If you open up the saved log file can you in that one - find a log of a write? You should find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs

I added some .mp3 files in the Create CD-Cue file module and burned them to a CD. This is on the CD after the burning.

Verify will allow you to know that what was burned also was burned without any errors. More or less - it will re read your burned disc and compare it with the original source. So it's a good idea to have it enabled.

Most likely it's your writer that doesn't like the brand of media. Could you post the full log? You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs

Normally it indicates a hardware failure.

Old logs can be found here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs When you write/save an image file to a hard disk - there is no finalizing part (closing of the disc). See it as a pure Windows copy from one part of the hard disk to another part of the hard disk - the only difference is that it's saved in a container (iso file).

Only one file - then it's not a DVD compliant disc. Try to convert it to DVD format by reading post #3.
