  1. Nice writers could be an Optiarc 720x or a Pioneer.
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, ruudj! ImgBurn is a burning tool, so what you need is some type of authoring tool. In what format is the various ISO files in? (.avi, ifo)
  3. Older writers can have problems with new media codes and not fully support them. Only by using them it's possible to know if they work or not. I couldn't find any posts on the net from someone that have used them and posted about hem. The ones that only writes at 2.4 speed have been around longer and therefore have better support on older writers.
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum, farfet! The author has posted earlier that he is working on this.
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, Padre Pio! There is a later version of the firmware, that might give better support for those discs. Not the best brand to use and it might have problems with certain writers. http://www.samsungodd.com/Eng/Firmware/FWD...amp;image1.y=12 If you update: No disc in the tray Tray closed Restart the computer after the update Edit: I'm Mrs Late...
  6. Even if you close the program, the log is always saved.
  7. Post the full log. It will show some more stuff. Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  8. Never used it, so I have no idea. As long as the program doesn't install any odd filters it should be no problems. Also take in care that some burning programs doesn't report all error codes that the writer generates. See this thread. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=7860
  9. Hi and welcome to the forum, grufle! There is a later firmware version for your writer. You have 1.00 there is a 1.03 version. If you update: No disc in the tray Tray closed Restart the computer after the update http://www.sonynec-optiarc.eu/en/support-s...-ad-series.html You also might wanna try some lower speeds than the fastest 8x. Available: (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x; 6x; 8x)
  10. 1. Normally two +R discs are cheaper than one +R DL discs. One the other hand it can be nice to see the whole movie without having to switch disc during the playback. 2. Some players likes burned discs - some doesn't. Later models seems to be ok.
  11. Even if the burning seems to be ok, it can be a disaster. A scanning of the burned disc in a program such as Nero DiscSpeed or DVDInfoPro would tell how good it really is. Can you post a log of that burn? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs It would show us the media brand you used. Some brands are not good and can generate the type of problems that you are facing. Burning to fast is another factor that can impact the quality. Also some stand alone players are crappy players of burned discs.

When I installed Vista there was no one free that was compliant with Vista. I haven't used anything since then than CCleaner. I couldn't find any note on the Glary Utilities web page if the program supports Vista.
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, Igor! Latest chip set drivers installed for the connection that the burner is attached to? Latest firmware for the writer installed?

If the development is still in progress for a registry cleaning program I would use it. If the development stopped years ago - avoid them. Also pick those that are known to work - and not use the reg cleaner from ACME Inc or a similar company...
  15. There is a version 1.07 of firmware for your burner. http://www.sonynec-optiarc.eu/en/support-s...-nd-series.html
  16. Latest version of Daemon Tools installed?
  17. You can use Nero InfoTool to find out the info about your computer. http://www.nero.com/eng/support-nero8-tools-utilities.html
  18. Hi and welcome to the forum, cantgetcdrwtoburn! Can you post the full log of that failed burn? You'll find it here Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  19. Try with another brand of media to rule out the media as being the reason for the odd speeds after the writing error.
  20. Tried to put in another SATA connector (if there are any other free)? The media - is it Verbatim branded?
  21. You have the latest chip set drivers for the bus that the writer is connected to?
  22. Why not hats for kids? At the same time you could find an use for the coasters...
  23. Hi and welcome to the ImgBurn forum, Johnboy21! By making sure that this option - 'Create AUDIO_TS folder' - is enabled. You know the size of the VIDEO_TS folder by right clicking on it in Windows Explorer.
  24. The supported write speeds with this writer for the discs you're using is these: So try to use some of these. 8x or 12x should give the best results. I've never seen a writer go crazy so in speed before. As you are using -R media you could try to test once with the option 'Test Mode' enabled, to see if it runs crazy then.
  25. Backup CD. Yes, if it's not protected. Use Read Mode and then Write Mode. Making backup CD. Yes, you can create your own compilation in the Build Mode. Duplicating. Yes, if it's not protected. If you mean that you want to backup your hard disk and put it to CD's - then there are better program to use. Your second Q: It's not possible to remove or add stuff on an already created image. Instead unpack the image and make a new compilation in the Build Mode. www.7-zip.org can split images. Yes, ImgBurn can convert the most common music formats so that they can be played back from a CD. Use the 'Create CD CUE file' option.
