    erasing cd-rw

Hi and welcome to the forum, pepsijoe! Did you verify the burned cd?
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, RevanKnight! A log from one of those burns could perhaps give some clues. Can you post one of those? You'll find them here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  3. Try to disable the 'Auto Export Graph Data' in the setting to rule out that there is something odd with this one.
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum, CHRISSY! If there is an option to retry do that, if that doesn't help, abort the program and post the log of the failed task. What task was it? Logs: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  5. In most cases a .toast file is just an .iso file. Try to rename the *.toast to *.iso and burn it. I think www.7-zip.org should be able to split the .toast file also to plain files. The issue might be that the Adobe program is only for Mac O/S.
  6. Are both the burners you tried with USB connected? Tried with a lower burning speed?
  7. Also bear in mind that most DVD stand alone players won't read UDF versions above 1.02. There is a UDF reader for ver 2.5 here. http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/Xbo...dows_page1.html Ver 2.6 is if you are dealing with HD-DVD formats and as you are not - go back to the old settings when you are using DVDs.
  8. No, it do looks as you got it to be what it should be so it's good. I was lazy (as always) and just posted an example from a single layer disc - so that's why the Disc ID is different. You have the right discs.
  9. Insert the disc in your writer/reader. Start ImgBurn Go to Write mode In the right window (media info) scroll down to the section about 'Physical Format Information (Last Recorded)#39; It should then state DVD-ROM in the 'Book Type' row: Disc ID: YUDEN000-T03-00 Book Type: DVD-ROM If it just states - Book Type: DVD+R DL - then it was not set.
  10. Only supported write speed for that combination of media/writer is 4x and 8x. Might try 4x.
  11. No, ImgBurn can't create chapter points. You should be able to create chapters in VobBlanker (free), as long as you have the files in the native form as .ifo, .bup and .vob files. There is a guide that was made for another purpose, but the general idea of creating chapter(s) is the same. You can find that guide here. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6376 There are also some other guides at the VobBlanker homepage , made by blutach , that should explain it in more in depth. An ISO file can be opened in that 'other' program by using CTRL+I
  12. Might be that not all writers are good scanners, so it could be that your writer is disabled due to that fact in that program. You have 'Verify' disabled in ImgBurn, it would be a good thing to enable it for the next writes. Start ImgBurn and go to Write mode and check mark the option 'Verify'. The next time you write something, it should then also perform the verifying stage. If you play your burned disc in your computer, does it also freeze then?
  13. The question might be how good the burn was. I would go and test it by scanning it with Nero DiscSpeed (free). http://www.cdspeed2000.com/ Start the program Select the tab 'Disc Quality' Select 8x as speed Press the button 'Start' Not all writers are good scanners - but it should show you a hint of the quality of the burn.
  14. Change it in this box in the Write mode.
  15. The .mds file contains the information about what .iso file to back up/write to the disc.
  16. Try to slow down the write speed in ImgBurn to 8x or 12x, to see if those discs can be read by your player.
  17. Then can't you select the .mds file when you want to burn the disc?
  18. Did the read mode create two files? filename.iso filename.mds
  19. Do you have a .mds file of that ISO file? How did you create the ISO image? By the 'Read' mode in ImgBurn?
  20. Could it be that you are writing at a lower speed in the other programs?
  21. Could you post the log from that burn that will not play in your players? You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs

    formatting

Hi and welcome to the forum, mellogolfer! Switch to Write mode and press the button. Then select the option you want. If the +RW/BD media has not been previously formatted or is in the need for a full erase the 'Quick' option is disabled. A proper erased/formatted +RW media can then just be overwritten the next time you write to it without the need to first do an erase. -RW media always needs at least a quick erase before a new writing.
  23. Hi and welcome to the forum, jules106! Not the best brands on the market. See if you can get your hands on some 2.4x rated Verbatims made in Singapore.
  24. Perhaps there is a an old link in the 'Source MRU' list that triggers the floppy. Try to clear those. There is a button in the preferences window in the 'Build' tab and also in the most recent files option in the main menus.
  25. There is a KLOP version of the firmware. http://www.liteonit.com.tw/global/index.ph...r&Itemid=75
