  1. Hi and welcome to the forum, robl45! Yes, that's possible.
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, sakamoto! There is a later firmware version that might work better with that brand of media. If it's an original NEC then here it is http://www.sonynec-optiarc.eu/en/support-s...-nd-series.html If you flash/update it: No disc in the writer Tray closed All other programs closed
  3. No problems to copy/move a folder with the options in the menu bar here.
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum, Ali! Your burner don't like that brand of media. The burner is also a tricky one. I would go for a new external writer if you want to use that brand. The DL media that the burner might like is Verbatim 2.4x rated Verbatims made in Singapore.
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, Boss9! Can you post the log from ImgBurn? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  6. Yes, the tab Write in the Settings. Then the dropdown list almost at the top of that window. Now it shows Incremental, select DAO/SAO.
  7. Hi and welcome to the forum, dayla! Normally it should be set to 'DAO'.
  8. In my posted image it is there. You need to select one (or several files) first. SP1 was not just a collection of previously shipped updates. There were several new stuff in that one.
  9. True. It do takes some time to get Vista as you want it to be. A lot of new settings compared to older Windows versions.
  10. Before SP1 was installed I had several issues. The views changing from what you want it to show to something completely different, I never had after installing SP1. Also to assign all folders the same view is possible in Vista. I had a lot of other issues as the Internet connection to stop working after 18-24 hours so I always needed to restart the computer after that time. With SP1 no such problems any more. So I like Vista SP1.
  11. That is in Vista. I don't use any additional programs to get that function. You add it in Folders alternatives or what it's English. Then the tab Show and then in advanced settings -> Show always menues
  12. This tool should give you the motherboard model in the tab 'Hardware'. http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-infotools.html
  13. Looked at some previous posts about this device and I would suggest getting a new external device also. The problem with reading burned discs seems to be a common problem with this one.
  14. Look in section '4.2.12.2 Advanced' of this guide. The example is for a Sony (rebadged Lite-On) but the work flow is the same for a Samsung. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6392
  15. Tried to look at the Sony web page. But couldn't find any. http://sony.storagesupport.com/product/210#drivers Looks as it's a rebadged Samsung 202. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f105/patch-utilit...0-1-new-242508/
  16. Any chance you can post that graph?
  17. Optiarc = Nec + Sony http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=PCVRS630G
  18. Look first in the filter driver list if there is something weird. Main Menu -> Tools -> Filter Driver Load Order Then hit the 'Copy To Clipboard' button and past the information into a posting window here. It might look something like this one:
  19. When (and if you already installed it) the SP1 information will show up in the ImgBurn log. Tried to find a later firmware for that writer but couldn't find any.
  20. If you post the IBG file/watch it, the yellow line will tell you/us about the write speed.
  21. This graphical file will show you (and us) the exactly write speeds during the writing. OPC is this I doubt it will change the write time more than a few seconds.
  22. If you open up this file in www.dvdinfopro.com (or a similar one), it should show the actual write rate during the burning. You can also attach the file to a posting window.
