  1. So open up a DOS window by selecting the window start button and select the option run. In that command line window - type cmd and you should have a dos window. Change the path to where you have the DVDFlash.exe and the firmware patches installed. Assume it's in c:\donald Then type this cd \donald then type this: DVRFlash -vf D: A0812001.129 A0812001.129 and hit the enter button. The D: is the writer The first A0812001.129 is the 'original' source file (the one you loaded in MediaCodeSpeedEdit) and the second one is the one you got after running MediaCodeSpeedEdit (the one you saved after applying the change(s)) If you named the files differently - then just use those names instead.
  2. Make sure you put the jumper at the back end of the writer in the same position as your previous writer.
  3. You should have an extracted folder named 'DVR111D', in this folder there is a file named 'A0812001.129' - use this file as input file in the program MediaCodeSpeedEdit and follow the instructions in the section 'Usage firmware modification:' in this first post in this thread: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f87/mediacodespee...writers-153213/ When you are done and have saved your applied changes you need to download this tool - DVDFlash (this tool will update your burner with your modified firmware) http://club.cdfreaks.com/f87/dvrflash-2-1-released-142963/ load your created file/firmware and flash it. You should find plenty of instructions on how to do it in that thread.
  4. First you need to restart your computer. It should work to patch the firmware you downloaded (before you flash it) and then after the patch/fix is applied, flash the burner again.
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, gotwiki! Can you post the log from that burn that created the playback problems? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  6. MediaCodeSpeedEdit should be able to enable the bit setting support. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f87/mediacodespee...writers-153213/

    I can

You might want to post the installed filter drivers. Main Menu -> Tools -> Filter Driver Load Order
  10. If you see this in the verify section of the log then the book type function worked. No. It's like Pepsi and Coca-Cola, some like the other one better.

    I can

Might be that the DMA is in PIO mode, cables, BIOS, installed mother board drivers or the writer being out of order if you have ruled out the combination of media and firmware. Tried to use a cleaning disc if the laser head is dirty?
  12. Well, we have a law about electronic bulletin-boards. It's up to the one that runs such a blogg to remove posted material from other users that is abettal, persecution against ethnic groups, child pornography or if it's violating copyrights. If the owner of the bulletin-board doesn't remove it - he is the one committing the crime, even if it was somebody else that posted it. I guess this law is only used if the bulletin-board is hosted on a server in Sweden.
  13. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7456357.stm Zero persons were arrested in Sweden during that time for blogging about political issues and we do blogg heavily with political issues. Perhaps our government is to lazy to arrest us...
  14. Your firmware is LL0C. On the Lite-On page the latest is LLOD. I have the Lite-On DH20A3H. I've installed one of the latest beta firmwares and it resulted in that my stand alone player could not read the burned DVD. Reverted back to the latest public one and now it could play the DVD. Perhaps it could be worth to try with the LLOD firmware version?
  15. The one dated 02/15/2008 and ver 9P59, it should be. Lite-On's are also nice scanners.
  16. Hi! Yes, it's a real one. No problems to have two burners (or more) in the same computer. Just connect them to the same cable and set the Lite-On as slave. Don't forget to check the jumper on the back so it's got the right setting.
  17. Can you post a log from such a burn? Old logs; Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  18. We did have a problem with Houston some days ago.

  20. Hi and welcome to the forum, smwurster! Sure you haven't attached that SATA writer to a jmicron connection? Those normally don't like to deal with ATAPI devices such as your writer. It's the latest firmware you have installed.
  21. Look in the section 'Box office performance'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars#Box...ice_performance Not sure that's what you are looking for.
