  2. The only power thing that can be related is that you need to attach both USB connectors if the light lamp turns red when you only use one USB connector.
  3. I have one of those models and no issues here. Can you do this: Insert a blanc disc in the burner and switch to read mode in ImgBurn. Copy the text info in the right window panel (disc info) and paste it into here?
  4. Might have been ended up in the Autorun section of Windows. Do this: 1.Click Start → Run 2.In the Open box type msconfig and then click on OK or press Enter 3.Select the Startup tab Do you see ImgBurn in that list? If so disable it. More info: http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_content.php
  5. Sounds more as it is a DVD reader. What model is it?
  6. No. Either you put all files on the same disc or non at all. Your example will make the final discs useless (non playable). If you want one disc you need to get a double layer disc If you want to split the stuff, you can use this free program. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdfab/#a
  7. ImgBurn can't cut movie files into pieces. DVD5 = a regular one layer disc = 4.7GB disc
  8. Mount the image file and drag the contents to the advanced build window and you can add/delete stuff as you want and then build the new image file.
  9. Sure the GPS system can read/understand the disc if you join two different discs? I guess some files exists in both discs.
  10. Enter Write mode. Insert the disc Press this icon or Use the Tools Menu -> Drive -> Erase
  11. SlimLine drives can be tricky to burn DL with. If it fails burning the best media on the market, I would go for an external attached normal height burner. Perhaps give it a try with a cleaning disc.
  12. Think you are out of luck as it doesn't seems to be possible to change book type with this burner. http://club.myce.com/f65/copy2dvd-change-book-type-71657/

  15. There is a later version of the firmware that might give you better result. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Sony/DRU-810A/files.html
  16. Perhaps get an USB stick and save it there.
  17. If it also fails with Verbatims, I would go and get a new burner. They do fall apart after some time of use (at least mines have that bad habit ).
  18. Perhaps you need to run a cleaning disc in the burner.
  19. Have you tried with 6x and 8x? Have you been able to burn the same brand before?
  20. Might be that you need to wait 24 hours before you can change in the profile settings due to restrictions in the forum software.
  21. Normally you should see available speeds after the disc id in that row. As there are no, it might indicate that the burner simple doesn't cover the brand/media/disc that you are using. This is how it should look if the firmware has support for a brand.
  22. New members have some days before they can post to old threads for the only reason to avoid hi jacking. What is your issue with the hanging/stuck? Tried to update your drivers? Post more about your issue and we might be able to give you more suggestions to solve your issue.
  23. If you don't like to install SP3, you could install this update and you will see in the future what program that is locking your drive in the log. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932716
