  1. You're wrong there. I had already updated my firmware to latest firmware and I know what speeds my drive supports. As the latest firmware update was released around 2.5 years ago and the log you posted a day ago shows that it wasn't updated, I'm more than certain that you don't know what you are talking about. A burner can support 24x speeds, but the limitation in the firmware + media code still sets the rules for the available speeds. You could try to get any faster speed than 2.4x with that burner in any other program. The major issue with the firmware for that burner is that the media code (discs) that you are using, is not even supported in the firmware. Instead it's probably using a generic write approach.
  2. Don't those games need to be book typed to DVD-ROM?
  3. Lite-Ons are nice for scannings, but I can't say I like them for regular DVD +R burning. Perhaps keep the current one for scanning purpose and get one for pure burning tasks.
  4. Perhaps you should first learn what a firmware is and what media codes are... There was also a hint in post #9, that you didn't knew what to do with.

    split iso file

Hi and welcome to the forum, rjjsjr! What's in the file? A DVD movie or just ordinary files?
  6. 16x and max would be the same speed. If it worked before, perhaps a cleaning disc could work.
  7. Hi and welcome to the forum, cdw617! You could have downloaded it for free and ImgBurn can't copy protected games. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/747496/4937365-197853
  8. DVD+R can only be used once in ImgBurn due to no support for multisession. Use the RW disc as you can reformat that disc type.
  9. According to your drive, the disc has already been used.

  11. The only speed you can burn with is 2.4x as that is what the media/firmware/drive combination allows you to. Have you tried to read back the burned disc (the one you burned with Microsoft) to the hard disk? (Just to rule out that it is burned ok).
  12. Can you post the full log? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs Are you burning with the same speed in both Windows and with ImgBurn? The wrong write speed can make coasters.
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, havok1579! Can you post a log of that failed burn? You'll find it here: Main menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  14. Aha, you already have the ISO's on different hard disks. Sorry.
  15. TitleWriter (free) should also work. http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=81885
  16. Isn't there one in the free Windows Live package? Not sure how much you want to "edit". http://download.live.com/photogallery
  17. http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screenshot-in-Microsoft-Windows When you want to add the screen shot - press the button 'Use Full Editor' in the posting window and then the button 'Click To Attach Files'.
  18. If you insert the disc and use Read mode and then post the info in the right panel window (disc info).
  19. Please post what you see in the log window instead.
  20. Hi and welcome to the forum, lovingreen! This is your issue. The USB connector lost connection with the burner. Same issue if you burn with a lower speed?

    Question

Hi and welcome to the forum, Moola! No, the idea is that there should be something when the burn is done. Can you post the log of that burn? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
