Sounds as it's time to replace the drive.

Only thing that could help is to try to use another write speed than the 2.4x and 6x. Ritek dye can be tricky with certain drives. These are available. (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x)

Hi and welcome to the forum, Harry Baules! Try with a lower write speed. There is also a ver 1.03 firmware for that burner out now.

If the read speed is that low it could be DMA issue. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=59&view=findpost&p=967 But as the write part was not that slow, it sounds more as the burn was crappy and the drive has a hard time reading it. Post a log, it should give some clues.

This part seems to be missing: So for some reason the disc you are using is not closed and that's why you can't see the burned stuff on it. Not sure why the program reports this: Do you get the same issue if you use a non RW disc?

Hi and welcome to the forum, Murder Happy! Have you tried some of the other write speeds like 4, 6 and 8x? That model of Lite-On is a bit tricky with certain brands of DL media and Ritek based media is not the of the best quality.

Have you tried the 6x write speed? If that also fails, try with some Verbatims.

Hi and welcome to the forum, goldie! ImgBurn do not change anything regarding audio or video, so the issue must be in the program that created the video files. If you play the files (before they were burnt) - same issue then?
