Hi and welcome tot the forum, daisuke! ImgBurn is not the issue here. It's the drives firmware that sets the limitation on how slow you can burn and with this media code you can only burn as slow as 4x. I doubt you could burn slower with your other O/S. If you looked at the actual performed write speeds I do think they were always higher than the wanted write speed. Curious. Why is it vital to burn at very slow speeds?

You got the chipset drivers from the Intel homepage? Sure the IDE contact is also an Intel? On my motherboard it's jmicron based/drivers even if the main ones are Intel.

The discs you are using are not the best ones on the planet. Might get better success with some better ones. Tried to find a later firmware but I guess you need to check the manufacture of the laptops homepage to find any later ones.

I can't find that option 'Write iso image from disc' and from the work description it sounds as you are using the Read mode (or possible Create Image file from Disc''. Could it be that you have added more than instance of the image to burn in the queue?

From what I've seen in various forums is that upgrading a 32 version to 64 triggers a lot of forum posts. Seems the easy way is to do a fresh install. You have the latest chipset drivers for you motherboard installed? Intel/Nvida/jmicron. The filter list is ok as there is nothing in it. Have you tried a slower write speed as 8x?

I was looking for a portable version of ImgBurn. Version 2.4.4.0 was the only version i could find as a portable. Is it possible to use 2.5 without using the installer? If so, that is what i would prefer, but i didn't find a portable version of 2.5 on the ImgBurn site. You are right. Use the ImgBurn.exe file as the portable version. Either use the installer to get it or just extract the installer with a program such as www.7-org.zip. Most time when drives hung is related to old/wrong drives for the chipset (Intel/Nvidia/jmicron) on the motherboard.

No. Once burned it burned. It closes the disc automatically. It's also only +R media that supports multisession.

Hi and welcome to the forum, MonkeyMaster! If you copy some files in Windows Explorer and you can see the progress bar in the taskbar button you know your system works. My experience with ImgBurn is that it works sometimes.

There is also this little program 'Tray' that can open/close your drive(s). It now supports up to 4 drives. http://www.favessoft.com/downloads.html

If it worked before and then suddenly gives you issues, it might be an idea to try to run a cleaning disc in that drive. I can't see no reasons in the settings based on the logs that it should give you errors.

No idea where your files are coming from, but clearly there is a pointer in the VIDEO_TS.IFO file that tells ImgBurn that there is a reference to such a Titleset. Perhaps somebody erased the VTS_02 after the first creation or that you authoring program add such a faulty reference. Open up the stuff in PgcEdit and see what warnings you get there. http://download.videohelp.com/r0lz/pgcedit/

Hi and welcome to the forum, Blackranger! There is a later firmware for that drive. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/LH-18A1P/files.html If that doesn't help, try with another brand of media. (Mediacode).

A full log could show some clues.

From what I can see on those images is that it's not the .iso file you are burning. It's a new compilation you are burning in Build mode. Use Write mode if you want to burn that 20.2GB .iso file.

You have ran Windows Update and installed additional drivers?

In the Settings (General tab) have you tried to enable the "Don't use disable the DirectDraw Overlays"?

I have the same toaster and 4x gave me verify errors. 6x was the best one to use.
