I have never had this problem with good single layer media, still don't trust dual layer enough
A new hard drive would be much more efficient for backup of this data than dual layer media
-
have you tried a burn at 2.4X?
-
xilisoft/imtoo has a new marketing push going in a lot of forums
Beijing YiZhuang IDC of China Netcom

and I even did the uninstall and rebooted before installing the new version, that figures, probably hosed everything
thanks LUK

I know i burned a few after the upgrade when I tested the new version?
-
It's hard to tell anything with a verify/read graph with that drive, the burn has to be really bad before the LG will
even stumble or slow down with the read?
-
Is there an entry that controls the length of time that log files are saved in the append mode?
Or does simply opening the program erase the oldest?
-
I had a similar experience trying to fast forward a karaoke cd in my benq 1650, even after I shut down the computer and restarted the drive would not respond to software commands or the eject button. I shut down again and manually
removed the disk, thank goodness that fixed it. What in the heck does the drive remember between boots?

LiteOn 20x
in Chat
smartest buy I have seen on a drive lately was a noob who found a litey on clearance at a local walmart, flashed it with
newest mature firmware, found a few spindles of sony yuden T02's at sears and pricematched for 30 cents a disk
pif total 28
http://forum.digital-digest.com/attachment...mp;d=1173275493
a month ago he didn't even know what a mid code was
beginners luck
btw tests showed the liteon's to be more consistent than benqs in scanning disks burned on different computers
-
for bitsetting support for single layer dvd+r disks, dual layer should be automatic?/default
-
you need to set your bios for ide not raid
and remove the raid drivers if any and update with the new ones I linked to in the other thread
his went from scuzzi to ata
his motherboard was a similar one
-
BTW I am blaming you for my wasting half a day with this damn ConvertXtoDVD
-
this thread caught my eye, imgburn for dummies has a certain appeal to it
maybe a guide even a wookie could understand
-
Is there an enhanced host controller listed under usb in device manager?
-
http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...ost&p=39757
http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtop...amp;hl=gigabyte
a lot of issues with those gigabyte boards
make sure the ide is set right in bios

I sure missed than in the new guides
bingo, it's even easier than nero now
will see if it worked in 8 minutes or so
-
it would be nice to see a "remember setting" or never display this message again when burning a video dvd from
files not in a video_ts folder

Release Date: 2004-10-27
HP oem of the 832?
http://forum.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=200520
another thread told that the HP firmware autobitset all dvd+r, rather strange for such an old burner/firmware
http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares.html#SOHW-832S
neither of the patched vsom or cg5m contain that mid code tho
-
better to just do a clean install with an updated slipstreamed cd
where's sp3? durn OS must look like a patchwork quilt even starting with sp2
long ago and far away I clean installed xp pro sp1, defragged then applied sp2 admin and looked at it thru defrag
what a mess
-
Ridisc Xtreme 16X +R RITEKP16
showing up in europe, anyone tested some yet?
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.php?p=17...mp;postcount=35
seem to be promising, might save that sinking ship yet
-
I would have killed off the sonic while I was at it but one step at a time
at least you didn't have any more good disks to waste
-
JMB36X_WinDrv_WHQL_R1.17.11
ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/jmb36x/Win2k_xp_Vista/
damn intel and their dropping support for ide so quick
-
Which other things are people unsure of?
just that and auto bitsetting, course those were new to me
problem burning avi files as a data disk dual layer dvd
