  2. you're elected, I would prefer a native brit to do the post and as blu suggested even post a link to the testing done in this forum,

not that many will even understand it, at least they will be impressed with it's thoroughness

  3. Deffo www.svp.co.uk Chewy, they show all the Media ID's when you're buying and their customer service is second to none. :) Have used them for years with no complaints whatsoever.

they sure carry good prices on dvdburners also

  4. for the benq turn on overspeed and turn off wopc, burn at 16x and you might get a bad graph, looks like his disks are faulty towards the outer

    part

you can get some good spikes at 12x with the nec's and L&D's

    modded firmwares

    would be nice

  6. every now and then my nec 3540 or 3550 will start taking a little longer

to burn a premium disk with buffer fluctuation, say 15 minutes for an 8X burn instead of 9 minutes. I always scan those when I catch it. Good burns. Really noticed it when I started using mcc004's again after several months(upgraded firmware since using that mid). Whatever nec's are doing, it's working, but I was curious.

Also happened with tyg02's(which I have used as my mainstay for last year).

  7. when I try to access advanced settings for my nec drives there is no tab, but in the booktype setting there is,

as nec uses some type wopc but only supports booktyping for dvd+r with liggy's modded firmware?

    what's up?

    Poll

I'm using my 4 gig as ram hard drive.

    seen references to that

    any links?

assuming only part of the ram is used for the ram drive?
