Those are Ritek and LUK meant your drive does not support / or even recognise 8x Verbatim MKM-003-00

Ricoh DL disc's are very bad practically the worst.

Well if your installing clean ops then keep it to no anydvd and other stuff and see if problem remains. In other words Chipset drivers (minus any storage/ ide) then install gfx card driver and thats it to test with. If your using nforce chipset drivers do not use the storage driver part. Get latest drivers for jmicron if that's what your ide is or see if windows will pick it up with standard ms drivers first and use them instead. Do not bother testing previous versions of the program as your wasting your time doing that.

As Spinningwheel said. Your choice of blanks is very very poor. Those disc's you will be lucky to get to write and if you do manage to get 1 to write the chances are the write quality will be poor so poor that your 360 ROM drive will DDE. Get some Verbatim MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore

If the answer is no then thats why the firmware did not work. [AS04] in firmware would normally indicate asus [AU04 as yours is might also mean Asus]. If you do have an Asus machine can you post the exact model number.
