I'm a little impressed so far, definitely the shortest personal burn time, but not quite breaking the 5 min barrier  Next up are MCC-004-00, took 5:18, strangely enough I think it could be the book type setting that is making them take a little longer.

  2. The word on the street here is that since Liteon has bot BenQ's optical business, there will be no more BenQ drives. I've noticed that their(BenQ) Canadian site has pulled the 18X drive notice and info. Several online shops have also started to run out here (as wel as in the States). Sounds like if your in the market for a good scanner drive, now's the time to buy. Any word elsewhere? Might have to try a Liteon drive next.

  8. Microsoft has announced an external HD-DVD player for the 360 that will connect via an USB connection, giving that formats movie playback. Also apparently a firmware upgrade that will allow 1080p output will be available this fall. I am softening to the 360 for 1 reason only, Dead Rising, some of you know why :D

It looks cracking doesn't it Grain ??? zombie1cf5.gif

  10. They were available in Canada (so I suspect down south too), my brother has a couple different 3 VHS set's in WS, ones the unadultered version, one has some mod's, I believe Lucas first round at changes, which I think included Jabba. At least one of the versions was THX also, a bit strange for VHS, IMO.

Never heard of such a thing. Did they sell them over here? Or was this another bad-ass thing that only Brits, Europeans and Japanese were able to buy?

Frogive the ignorance, but what's "WS VHS"?

    WideScreen Video Home System.

  11. & probably a few of the rest of us, I'm trying out the latest beta version of Mozilla, it has a spell checker built in! Works well so far, auto runs whenever typing! Available for all to download a their site.

  12. It's normal for your device buffer to bounce around a little, they're only 2MB as a rule. If it isn't getting so low as to start dragging the non-device buffer down (labeled as Buffer on ImgBurn, and is it's own buffer) then I too suspect it's just a poor media problem. Try burning them slower if your going over 8X, you'll likely have better luck with those at 4 or 8X, but your best bet would be to get some others, such as Kevdriver suggested.

  13. I remember the very first time I saw him on the telly, he was chasing some rat up and down tree's. Pissed myself laughing at this crazy bastard getting all cut up and scratched all for some rat, he was unique, sorry to see it end this way.

  14. Holiday here, although unpacking the lady's things. Had the dining room packed to the roof Friday, with a thin passageway left between the boxes to traverse. Bit tuff for a big bastard like myself, knocked some shit over and broke a window.
