  1. I Never had a problem doing just that, but, if you're unsure then just go through the steps upgrading each new one until you're at the latest and greatest. I do not believe that you can hurt the drive either way as long as the firmware is from the manufacturer and not a tweaked one.
  2. Sorry I'm late bro... mmalves
  3. Seriously Frosty, you're getting us into muddy water here and I'm trying to help you understand our policy. Your question is better off asked and answered HERE>
  4. We do not discuss ripping in this forum. Your problem sounds like you have a processing problem. Use Google and all will be revealed.
  5. Susan; Start ImgBurn and right click on the drive, click on properties and go from there.
  6. Disc material is a major player in the field of burning data. Yours are not all that good, as mmalves suggests, and maybe you should give THIS another read.
  7. You already know what your problem is...Your choices are simple... 1. Do as KasparP advises in his post. OR 2. Burn your discs on your friends PC.
  8. quote name='LIGHTNING UK!' date='Sep 9 2009, 12:44 PM' post='103223'] Bad burn on what's probably cheap media. Update the firmware on your drive. Use decent quality discs - Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden Burn at 8x or 12x Clean the drive using a cleaning disc Buy a new drive. Hey Boss...can we make this a sticky? Or put it in the FAQ and Guides just the way it's written???
  9. How and where? With money and either on the web or at an electronics store.....
  10. And please post a copy of the log.
  11. That's because Ritek = junk. A few years back it was extremely good media, however now, sadly, it's turned to crap and hasn't improved.
  12. And what possible help is that statement to the user?
  13. I don't have an opinion either way about ripping or burning any data...I just don't care what other people do with it. That being said, we do not discuss it here on this forum...period. There are a lot of forums dedicated to the various programs and methods of ripping any data from any form of media, you just have to find them and I would suggest that you start with a Google search.
  14. Then how are we supposed to really help you if you are telling us what you will and will not do??? ? What others think about the media. What we have to say. Read me.
  15. Hi abfs900; ImgBurn does not rip, it's a burning program...period. If you bought it from the asshole that is selling it on the web, go to ClickBank, make a complaint and demand a refund...it has been our experience that they will refund the purchase $$$ back to your card without much hassle. If you truly need info on then you will have to use Google and type in what you want to know.
  16. 1. Look at THIS about your burner. 2. I would switch over to a full sized drive in an external enclosure and run it off of the USB port to get away from all the 'slimline' problems that we see here every day. 3. You can also try different speeds for the burn. 4. Look for an update to your firmware. 5. Sounds like quite a hacker flick...
  17. If you bought ImgBurn from the assholes on the net that are promoting it as a game/dvd/cd/video/audio/tape/lp/ and anything else your heart desires copying program...then you got totally and completely screwed in the process. ImgBurn is a burning program, period. We do not support ripping here, we do not discuss the various methods used for copying any data other than that which you have created. If you bought the program, contact ClickBank and get your $$$ back as soon as you can. There are many threads on this forum that deal with the blatant rip-off of this program.
