  1. You have the answers right in front of you. Your drive is crappy and your discs are worse. Get an external drive, hopefully a pioneer or some other good brand an get rid of the crap discs you bought. Since the disc verifies correctly, you have faith in your method of creating the .iso, your firmware is the latest and the replay device is modified correctly it doesn't leave much to work with...and post a log of the burn please.
  2. Time to invest in a new drive, I believe yours has gone South for the season.
  3. That's because Memorex outsources it's disc manufacturing to many firms, some are acceptable but the majority are crap. You can see the disc ID in the right side window when ImgBurn is in read mode and then you can Google the MID and see for yourself what others think of each individual disc in your pack. We only recommend certain products because their failure rate is so much less than that of the type you are reporting that you use. Since disc quality is one of our largest problems, the suggestion to change to the best, regardless of the cost, is the only one that makes sense as we are trying to eliminate the most common cause of individual failure. We can't hold your hand and make you buy better media, check your firmware, check your cables, check whatever else it is that may be wrong, but we also do not want to keep repeating ourselves either...if you do not want to change media...do what you want, but leave us out of it until you decide that we may just know a little bit more about this subject than you do.
  4. Been a long time since anyone called me kid.... ...I thank you.
  5. AND...edit out your email address, we don't work that way and you're opening yourself up for tons of spam...
  6. I/O errors are caused by the urner/firmware/media not playing well together. 1. You're using Rtek DL dvd's...not a good idea since they are not anywhere near the quality of the ones we recommend HERE. 2. Check your firmware version and update if necessary, just ecause you just purchased the thing doesn't mean that the drivers aren't out of date. 3. Read the bit at the top, if you had researched prior to posting you would have found this stuff out for yourself and been all the smarter for it.
  7. Sorry, we don't advise on problems that are not related to ImgBurn. I would suggest that you go to Google and look for a DVDShrink forum.
  8. ...it's his program and whether you believe he's open minded or not has absolutely no meaning here ... but that is pretty damned funny...
  9. Sorry, ImgBurn does not do multisession burning as of this time. The author has indicated that he may look into it in the future, but for right now it's not available.
  10. IMHO it would really just add to the size of the program without adding much of a "universal" use to ImgBurn. But, like I said, it just my opinion and the Boss decides what goes into the final program.
  11. An I/O error indicates that the firmware/media/burner are not playing nicely together. Since you did not post a log (big hint ) I can only guess that your media may be of lesser quality, or maybe newer, than your burner can handle. SOOooooo... Please post a log because my crystal ball is out for repairs and playing 20 questions, for about the thousanth time, tends to get a little old.
  12. We don't have an "Option Guide" for the program...we have a "Function Guide". I'm sure that if you do an excellent job of writing a "Option Guide", like Cynthia did, it would be available for users to read. However, if you read the pink bit at the top you'll find that we do not refer you to any guides except the ones that are posted here. So..... loose the smart-assed attitude, be grateful that there is a forum that accompanies such a brilliant piece of software, post a log from your failed burn and don't give smarmy crap to someone who is trying to help you figure out your problem.
  13. Your media is still poor quality. Are you doing any other things on your system while trying to burn...playing games, surfing, music????
  14. As suggested by mmalves, burning at different supported speeds may enable your burner to make a disc that will verify and work. Your choice of media is absolute crap and there is nothing that we can suggest that you do with that besides maybe use it for target practice and get some Verbs or TY's.
  15. As long as the disc verified, all the data that you have in your original file(s) is burned onto the new disc. ImgBurn does a complete compare when it verifies, so the problem is with whatever you are burning to the disc and not with the program.
  16. philbilldick; Post a log from your failed burn please.
  17. Not recommended. I believe you can have ccleaner omit deleating ImgBurn files, I don't loose any and I use it all the time.
  18. Hi and welcome I assume you have tried this on many many machines then? Although I understand the reason for the statement, if you have spent some time reading here, or on other forums, you will have realized that that is a huge problem when trying to troubleshoot. The machine that you make the disc with should always be able to read it. A lot of problems are uncovered when trying to use other means of reading the same disc. Lets start with a log of the complete, verified burn and work on up from there.
