  1. With ImgBurn in Write mode, open the MDS file and the layerbreak is shown in the "Sectors:" line.
  2. If you cleaned the lens and your drive doesn't recognize the best dual-layer media on the market then it's time for a new burner, don't you think?
  3. You'll have to use a re-authoring program to do that. I think even DVD Shrink can do it
  4. This should've been posted in the Suggestions forum. Actually, it was requested several times before and LUK has no interest in it Why can't they take an ISO image and make the DDP themselves? This may be a silly question but I don't know anything about DDP
  5. Get an external burner then, something like a Pioneer 116/117 (or 216/217) in an external enclosure of your choice would be good
  6. Burn from the .dvd file and it'll work, no need to modify anything in ImgBurn
  7. But hey, it has pretty icons and a dumbed down interface
  8. Yes, only DVD+RW needs formatting, and you only need to do it once: after this you can just overwrite the disc. What happens is that Ner0 messes up the disc and it loses its formatted state, and then you need to format again. Are you running the latest version of ImgBurn? Which filesystem(s) are you using? Have you considered that your DVD player just don't like the media you're using?
  9. You can try burning at 6x or 8x to see if you get a better burn. In any case you should read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  10. Apply this firmware update for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). If that doesn't help, try burning at 4x or 6x. You might also want to try a lens cleaning disc on your drive. If all that doesn't solve your problem then read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Also buy more memory or at least close all programs before burning...
  11. Please read the pink banner at the top of this page
  12. Unfortunately the only way to know is by trying. Maybe the drive does a better job at a faster speed? This is known to happen with newer burners and DVD media
  13. Try the other available write speeds. You might also want to try a lens cleaning disc on your drive. If all that doesn't solve your problem then read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  14. This is the real error you're getting. You could try burning at the other available write speeds to see if you get a good burn but, from our experience, Verbatim media is the one that works for most people.
  15. It didn't ask you because ImgBurn knows what it's doing As for the bad discs only you can tell if they're silent or not, what we can tell you is that it shouldn't have errored out, so to be safe you need to burn those again
  16. Those MP3s were made from the CD Audio tracks of the original disc (probably because they use less space than WAV files), hence, in order to burn a copy of that disc, they'll be converted back to CD Audio by ImgBurn, just like they were on the original disc.
  17. It means your drive doesn't like that disc. If you can format it at least once, you can later just overwrite it, no need to format again.
  18. You should choose based on the star rating (which takes several important aspects into account), and keep an eye on the % column (which shows how much data goes on each layer) since some DVD players prefer discs with 50/50 (or the nearest value) distribution. When in doubt use the Preview button, young padawan
  19. I think the best option would be a Pioneer 116/117 (or 216/217) in an external enclosure of your choice
  20. When it freezes is the disc still spinning? Were you able to close ImgBurn without disconnecting the burner?
  21. Aside from the fact that ImgBurn doesn't remove/bypass any kind of copy protection, Wii games can't be read by normal drives.
  22. If your burner can't burn the best dual-layer media on the market then it's defective. It could be dirty lenses, but in another post you said you've cleaned them already and it didn't help. As a last attempt, try using that burner on another computer(s).
  23. Have you tried your burner on the yellow ports?
