  1. Potentially, yes, it could cause problems, but not with that specific "maximum number of secrets" error that's known for being used by virus/rootkit/malware...
  2. If it burned and verified without problems then the burn is good. The problem can be the game ISO or your console/modchip, but we can only help with the burn process and nothing else.
  3. The part about stretched video/subtitles/etc you should ask in DVD Flick's forum, since ImgBurn doesn't change anything. As for the disc not playing smoothly, my guess is that you're using low quality media. Use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks and it should play smoothly on any device. Also make sure your burner has the latest firmware available.
  4. Are you using the latest ImgBurn? If it can't open your image then you'll have to try other programs in order to read/convert that image. And next time don't hijack other people's threads, start your own.
  5. Can you check those discs on another burner? Either your drive is crazy or those discs have been used before/have manufacturing problems.
  6. Update your burner's firmware to the latest version D400 (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). After rebooting check if the drive sees the discs as empty
  7. It's not easy to implement that and LUK has no interest in it. Besides, if you need to make a lot of copies without much time to spare, buy a duplicator tower.
  8. Just because you don't use verify and discovery it doesn't mean they're not useful. As for on-the-fly disc copying, LUK has already stated he has no interest in that. Even if a disc copy function is implemented in ImgBurn, it'll just be a shortcut to Read+Write operations.
  9. Unrelated to your problem but... There's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished).
  10. Use DVD Shrink in re-author mode or something like that
  11. People asked for it many times already and LUK has no interest in doing that.
  12. It's 538KB less than the disc's total capacity to make sure there's enough room for the UDF filesystem
  13. I've made a quick test with the largest file I have on my HDD (8,533,090,870 bytes), added only that file, used only UDF 1.02 filesystem and the overhead was just 546,816 bytes. My guess is that you can fit a 8,547,440,640 bytes file on a DVD+R DL disc and still have a little bit of room to spare, just in case If only TrueCrypt could mount "raw" optical media then you could use all the space available on a DVD+R DL disc
  14. From the log it seems to be a good burn that should work. You do know that your x360 needs a modification in order to run backups, right? Anyway, if it's not a problem with the burning then we can't help you By the way... There's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished).
  15. Dialysis1 is right: you'll have to re-check your source files.
  16. lfcrule1972 Allow me to steal blutach's gif this time
  17. Update ImgBurn. Try a lens cleaning disc on your drive. Also try burning at 4x. You may want to try this firmware update (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot the computer when it's finished), but I'm not sure if it'll allow to update your drive. If all that doesn't solve your problem then you should be looking for a new burner, they're pretty cheap these days And next time please don't hijack other people's thread, start your own
  18. It's in the FAQ how to find which program is holding your drive, but since you're using Vista it's probably the sidebar.
  19. Your drive can only burn CDs, not DVDs. You'll need to buy a new drive to replace the one you currently have
  20. Your drive is a CD burner and DVD reader, also known as combo drive. In order to burn DVDs you need a DVD burner. By the way, update ImgBurn
  21. Look in ImgBurn's Log window: what does it say in the "Found xxx devices!" line?
  22. Look for the burn log at the same place where you saved your project.
  23. You can also right-click the drive selection box and choose Check For Firmware Updates
  24. Yes, they do work. As for a new burner I think a Pioneer 116/117 (or 216/217 if you want SATA) would be the best option.
