The DVD-R DL standard does not allow to change the layerbreak position. You need to use DVD+R DL media (please read this thread)

There's firmware 1.02 available at http://au.lgservice.com/ (Device Driver -> DVD-ROM(Writer) -> page 7). Remove any disc and close the tray before updating the firmware. Reboot after it has finished.

Xbox 360 games are protected and ImgBurn can't copy protected discs. Search Google and you'll find the information you need.

Logs are saved automatically (look in Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs) so please post the log of the latest burn. By the way, an external burner gives you better burn quality, especially on dual-layer media.

There's newer firmware PS0C available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before applying the firmware).

Also update to the latest ImgBurn

You probably need to select ISO9660 + Joliet filesystem (in the Options tab), rather than the default ISO9660 + UDF that ImgBurn uses. As volvo said, a log helps us help you

If it isn't in DVD-Video format (VIDEO_TS folder/VOB/IFO/BUP files) then you'll need to convert before burning, and you can do that with DVD Flick (free), VSO ConvertXtoDVD ($$$) or similar programs

Please notice that if you have AVI / WMV / FLV / whatever video format /etc and want to play the disc on any standalone DVD player, you'll need to convert them to DVD-Video, which you can do with DVD Flick (free), VSO ConvertXtoDVD ($$$) or similar programs

imran999: Try burning at 6x or 8x and see if works. If it doesn't, try getting Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore blanks and it should work, or else your burner is broken. Pakomerle: The 'Invalid Address For Write' error is, usually, consequence of a more serious error, so please start a new thread and post the log of your burn (you can find it at Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs).

If a new burner couldn't burn Verbatim DVD+R DL with MKM-001-00 dye I would return/exchange it as defective.

It seems that media isn't supported by your burner and fails to burn when using a "generic" write strategy. Try with better media, such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks, preferably the 8x rated ones. You might also want to run a cleaning disc on that drive

If you could try the drive on another computer it would tell us if it's a problem with your computer/drivers or if the problem is the burner itself, as it's very odd that it isn't returning an error message when the burn stalls.

Please post the log from the latest burn (you can find it at Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs). What I can say beforehand is that there's only one good brand of DVD+R DL media. Also, what are the names of the files on the disc?

ImgBurn is a GUI program and the command line parameters only sets the options in that GUI, i.e. you can't completely bypass the GUI. I think mkisofs is better suited for your use

Please post your Filter Driver Load Order (it's in the Tools menu). Are your processor/memory overclocked by any amount? How many passes of memtest86 have you let it do? I'm asking because those errors are consistent with memory problems. By the way, in Device Manager, go to the View menu and select Devices by Connection (or the similar option since my Windows isn't in English ). That way it'll show to which controller your burner is connected to.

Well I guess this has been your problem all along: low quality media. What's interesting is that the drive doesn't report any errors at all: it just stops working, which is odd. Anyway, please try with Verbatim blanks and tell us if it did the trick
