  1. Well, I'll leave this here for when you come back for help when your DVDs stop burning again http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  2. There's firmware RL01 available at http://au.lgservice.com/ (Device Driver -> DVD-ROM(Writer) -> page 6). Remove any disc and close the tray before upgrading. Reboot after it has finished. Also make sure you have the latest storage drivers available for your chipset/motherboard.
  3. Are those pressed, original DVDs? If they are that's probably some kind of copy protection, and ImgBurn can't read protected discs.
  4. I think your drive automatically booktypes DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM. Insert one of the burned discs and look at the 'Book Type:' parameter under Physical Information (Last Recorded), as this is the one that matters.
  5. This is the real error and means the drive doesn't properly support the media you're using (quite common when using new media with old burners). You could try finding newer firmware for it, or maybe crossflashing to a DRU-510A, but the easiest solution is to buy a new burner, as they're pretty cheap nowadays
  6. Your drive automatically booktypes DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM, so you don't need to worry about that. You just need to use Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore blanks and it should work
  7. For CD-RW and DVD-RW media a quick erase must be performed prior to burning (if this is needed ImgBurn will ask you at the time of burning). For DVD+RW media, if it's brand new it needs to be formatted (Full Erase) at least once. After that you can simply overwrite it (no need to quick erase). Other burning programs may mess with the 'Formatted: Yes' status of the media, and this is why ImgBurn is asking you to format the disc again.
  8. WinRAR has associated with the .iso extension on your computer. In WinRAR go to Options, Settings, Integration tab, untick ISO and click OK. Now in ImgBurn check in Tools -> Settings > Registry tab if it's associated with the ISO extension
  9. If it passes the Verify stage then yes, it's a good burn
  10. That message means the hard disk wasn't able to transfer data fast enough for that burn speed. Defragment your HD and this problem shouldn't happen again. Notice that the slowest burn speed available for that type of disc is 4x, so even though you've selected 2.4x the drive burns it at 4x. By the way, please upgrade to the latest ImgBurn
  11. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Latest firmware for your burner is SB07.
  12. Go to Tools -> Settings -> Write tab, untick 'Perform OPC Before Write', click OK and try again.
  13. Have a look at our Guides section.
  14. Maybe if you try with the other available burn speeds.
  15. I've seen that happen when the drive doesn't fully stop spinning the disc before opening the tray (if this is the case you can hear the disc "grinding" against the tray just before it slides out). Does your burner have the latest firmware SB02? If it doesn't, upgrade it and see if it solves the problem. Should the problem not be solved, exchange the drive under warranty as it's defective.
  16. Try with Ner0's ASPI (change I/O to ASPI in ImgBurn's Settings). By the way, does this also happen with single-layer media?
  17. Test your computer's memory with memtest+ and let it do a few passes, as it seems you have a memory problem.
  18. Follow this guide to burn your ISO image: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61 Use good quality media, such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks, and it should work. As for the burn speed, try the slowest available (look at the Supported Write Speeds field) and, if doesn't work, try the other available speeds.
  19. No, it doesn't help as this is ImgBurn Support Forum, not Ner0. Anyway, make sure you have the latest Intel Matrix Storage drivers.
  20. Real MCC discs are manufacturer by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, or where did you think the MCC comes from? Umedisc media should have UMExxx for the ID, so yes, they're fake. And you're getting those errors because you've got a lower quality batch than the ones you've used before. Think about it: if it was any good would they have to fake their media codes?
  21. The purpose is to create a split disc image, not splitting a file over several discs. Have a look at 7-Zip / WinRAR
  22. Tools -> Settings -> Write tab -> DVD-RAM / BD-RE FastWrite (*) With FastWrite enabled be sure to Verify your burns
  23. What's the brand of the media you're using?
