  1. I was wandering about trying out img burn classic im under the understanding that it can create a image for img burn to copy from vidio ts files. First question ,i downloaded the zip file classic_0.91.6 is that the one i need. question #2 i read at cuujo site that "img tool burn "uses or needs the nero api ,and to download the the right version ,depending on which verision or nero you have, is img tool burn and img tool classic the same? Last but not the least if i do have the right folder how do i install? To be continuied. #39;(
  2. WHat's so funny about that? I don't mate what is so funny about it? Why don't you read other posts on the board and do a little research about the author and you will see why the request is quite humorous. So you're saying if he adds an ISO->READ button to copy an UNPROTECTED DISC it is illegal? I know there are other programs to create an ISO file but don't you agree it'll be easier and less time consuming to be able to create an ISO and burn it with the same program, imgburn?
  3. Please forgive if I am asking dumb questions, I?m completely new to this. I have a JRC DR-M150SEK DVD Video Recorder ? with which I can record TV off-air and then (after ?Finalising?) play back on my other DVD Player. What I would like to do is:- Record a TV program, with start & finish overlaps, adverts etc using the JVC DVD Recorder and then copy the resulting DVD-R or DVD-RW into an empty folder on my pc's HDD My pc has ample HDD capacity and a NEC ND-3500AG DVD Writer. Use a Video Editor to edit out the start & finish overlaps and adverts and save this 'clean' version on the pc's HDD Then, using the pc's NEC ND-3500AG DVD Writer, burn a DVD from the HDD, which is a clean copy? I have just downloaded ImgBurn which looks 100s% better than Nero Express v6.3.1.10 which came with the NEC DVD Writer. I have been recommended to use DVD Decrypter to copy the home produced DVD-RW to my HDD as the output from my JVC has multiple VOBs in 1GB chunks (in VIDEO_TS). That person suggested I use VideoReDo to edit the files. Another suggested TMPGEnc I have trial versions of VideoReDo and TMPGEnc, and DVD Decrypter, but so far only managed to create an unplayable and unformattable DVD-RW (Sony)??? I?m sure that what I want to do has been done many times before. What do you recommend please. I?m not interested in putting Menu?s on the DVDs, I just want to record my favourite TV dramas using the DVD Recorder?s Timer function and then keep a clean copy for future viewing. (For example BBC?s Judge Deed which for some reason is not sold by BBC on DVD or VHS. But that?s another issue?..)
  4. It'll be nice to add the function to create ISO in imgburn instead of using other software. It'll be nice to have it all-in-one, create images and burn them. I hope this gets considered.
  5. ok, i use ImgTool (0.91.6) to create an ISO image (splitted 1GB files Fat32). It refuse to decypher the DVD (errors) but works with the DVD Decrypter files created previously. Now i tried to change the bitsetting of my LG DVD burner in IMGBurn and it says it failed. Maybe it's not supported. The DL is a Fujifilm recognised as a Ricoh booktype=DVD-ROM by IMGBurn. so i'm not sure if a want to blast another DL.
  6. LIGHTNING UK!

    Image maker

In nero, you just create a new data disc. Use ISO and Joliet filesystems (or ISO and UDF). I still use cdrwin from www.goldenhawk.com for that stuff! lol
  7. If you create your image with PgcEdit, it will create the image with the correct LB info and call IB to burn. There is no need to reset the LB and in fact doing so may result in a coaster, especially if you have "Leave 32k space between IFO and BUP" option on in PgcEdit. Regards
  8. If you have already generated the DVD files (video_ts/audio_ts) you can create an iso image using imgtools_classic 0.91.6 from Coujo download here. You need to scroll down to find ImgTool Classic. This is already set up to burn directly with Imgburn.
  9. Use whichever program you like to create an ISO image, be it Shrink, Elby's CloneDVD etc. Then use ImgBurn to burn it on a DVD! Guide for the latter in the guides section. It's a rather exhaustive and complete guide, you shouldn't have any trouble
  10. I don't believe that you can substitute ImgBurn for Nero as you can by substituting ImgBurn for DVDDecrypter. What you can do however is open your VIDEO_TS folder in PgcEdit and from it, create the ISO (uses Img Tools Classic) and burn (uses ImgBurn). PgcEdit also enables you to ensure that 32K gaps are present. Check out PgcEdit homepage here: http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html Link to burning with 32K gaps is on the above page (direct link http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/thi...h%20PgcEdit.htm) Let us know if you have any questions.
  11. I found the entry about using dvd decrypter, renaming files so dvdshrink uses it for backup. Don't have that one..have the fab one... anyway, I used dvdshrink to create an ISO and now using ImgBurn to write the dvd image....36% and going strong. Not sure why dvdshrink using Nero has a problem but hopefully this will give me an option. Any tip on how to use dvdshrink to invoke Imgburn without having dvd decrypter installed? Not sure I want to rename nero software.... I first used Fabdecrypter to create the hd copy...i hear dvddecrypter is a bit out of date now....
  12. also the ability to handle the ilvu/multi-angle titles is greatly improved w/ pro but probably as hd dvd's become available the filters and numerous add-ons will be the key to keeping up! the pro-version is well worth the money but if you have never used it you'll never know what you are missing! imo quenc is terrible as I had some bad headaches come from it's use and one 12 hr encode time I discontinued use right quick like! hc is awesome! blu have you ever tried the rb-loader reading about it and wondering if it is affective no need right now but I think there should be a pact made to create the ultimate one-click!!!
  13. well is i said in the last post, I only have one harddrive and is not very fast. it takes it about 15 to 30 min to create the iso.( without compressing it)
  14. yeah i know that, but i got time on my hands to do that, which was my point, someone saying you cannot edit iso in shrink is wrong. yes i know you have to then re create iso...i don't mind the 1minute 23 second wait... I cannot see anything wrong with using shrink in any mode, i think its the 2nd best program on the internet. i maybe missing your point about read only though, as in, did someone give a set of circumstances where they need an iso to be anything other.
  15. Am I just wondering around out here in left field or doesn't creating a ISO from a original DVD mean that the program (IB) would half to to decrypt the disk in order to create the file. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like LUK would be wright back in the same sinking boat he just got out of. I can understand this request if you had a VIDEO_TS folder on your HD that was created from another ripping program and IB had the option to read those files and create a ISO and then burn your DVD. Now that would be nice!
  16. Hi @ all Today I created my first DL DVD using DVD Maestro. I set the layerbreak in Maestro (Sector 2.080.256) and used the Maestro Disk Image Creator to create the IMG. Now i want to burn this image using ImgTool 1.0.0.0. Do I just have to load the IMG file with the source button or should I create a MDS first using the Tools -> Create DVD MDS File function an load this MDS? Should I set the Layer Break option to calculate optimal or should i enter the same sectors I used in Maestro? Thx. p.s. sorry for my bad english.
  17. as you all know nero is not the best for burning dvd. I have made so many coaster using nero. and it does not take me 5 min to make a iso, I only have one harddrive. and i would like to be able to save the time it takes to create an iso to do something alse like play video games if cannot be done so be it, is not like i burn tons of dvds all i am saying is that it will be a nice addition to imgburn.
  18. Interesting....When I want to mount an image I simply right click on the ISO, highlight Mount then click on the Virtual drive letter I wish to mount on. 2 clicks, and I run Windows - but not Daemon Tools. Regardless, why not do as blutach suggested, run 5 instances of PgcEdit having each open the DVD folder. It can then create the ISO, call ImgBurn to burn the disc, and automatically delete the ISO afterwards. You are left with your original VIDEO_TS folder that can be opened in your preferred player - no need for you to see any ISO's and saving you that extra click per disc.
  19. dirio - to create an ISO for a DVD-5 takes 5 minutes tops. And of course you can edit to your heart's content beforehand. So, 5 minutes of ISO creation or risk making a coaster with Nero/Roxio etc. (which takes say 15 minutes). Anyways, if you don't like making ISOs, use Nero. No-one's forcing you to use ImgBurn man. Regards
  20. well sometimes you need to changes something in the dvd compulation and you cannot do this in iso mode or for example lets say that the dvd is small enough and does not need compression but you want to remove the ads and previews. if you create an iso you cannot do this. And you don't need to used dvdshrink. @blutach this still applies. To create the iso takes two the space because you have the folder and the iso and it take time. but when you can just burn the folder you save one step.
  21. or instead of taking 4 hours to convert to iso, think about using say shrink or any other program that is capable to create iso images as the output instead of video_ts folders
  22. First of all let me thank you for bringing your great burning engine back! And the best thing is: I just ordered my Dual Layer bruner and was really worried how to create discs with the layer break bit at the right position. The day after I ordered the burner ImgBurn was released. Great timing! Now about donating. I was considering to donate about 10$ to you to thank you for all your hard work on this great program. However, if I click on the Paypal-logo there's an input field where I can insert how much I want to donate and below that it says "shipping 0?". So I'm wondering in what currency the amount I enter in that field will be - the 0? lets me assume it's in pound, but if I make a mistake entering the value, I get a message which tells me "For example, if the amount is $5.00 USD, you would enter 5.00." Of course I tried just entering a value and going to the next page, but that is already the one to enter my credit card data. And I won't do that until I know how much (i.e. in what currentcy) I'm actually donating, I won't do it. So please help me out, so I can send you your well-deserved donation.
  23. And of course if the source disc was a DVD5 and he already has all the files ripped he can just create the ISO using Coujo's tool ! IMGTool Classic
  24. Folks read up and in other threads here. At this date, this prog burns ISO images you have created. Use ITC or PgcEdit (which can call this prog to burn) to create your images. Easy. Regards
  25. The only way in which the program could be limiting the burn to 6x is if the buffers are always on 0% or fluctuate A LOT! If that's the case, it has become impossible to burn any faster - probably due to some configuration issue with your PC. Other than that, your drive is slowing down the burn on purpose so it doesn't create a coaster. That's done by the drive OPC stuff (be it Active OPC, Walking OPC etc).
