LIGHTNING UK!
I guess the 'value series' uses the same cheapo dyes that other manufacturers use... keep clear of them in future!
Cynthia
Hope they stay away from selling those in the EU.

Cynthia
Only way to know how good media is with your burner is to do some scans.
eSkRo
Only way to know how good media is with your burner is to do some scans. Ok thanx Cynthia.... im gonna burn a DVD Video and will post results here... hope i recall how to do so using DVDInfoPro... EDIT BY ME: ------------------ oh no,,,, i forgot i have deamon tools installed,,, thats gonna mess up my graph right?,, Edited December 27, 2009 by eSkRo
Cynthia
It shouldn't affect your scans. It's mainly the max verify speed that can be lower than expected.

jeff_nz
I think Cynthia is referring to a disc quality scan (PIE/PIF) which is not the same thing as Graph data. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=2168

dbminter
Man, that even Verbatim chooses CMC Magnetics stuns me. At least they offer a better alternative quality media. For now, anyway. Hopefully, they won't become another Optodisc for me where I stopped getting Optodisc media after they switched over to CMC's which wouldn't finish burning, etc.
