  1. Maybe driver update from Windows Updates botched something... They sometimes do quirks. Try with the latest drivers for USB ports from the manufacturer's site.
  2. It seems there is a newer firmware released for you drive https://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S223C/files.html Try update the drive with the SB07 (now it's on SB04), it may help or not. Remove the disc from the drive when flashing it.
  3. HA HA, now CMC owns TY too. At least the disc production line. Does anybody produce discs this days apart from CMC?
  4. The verify function is alright. It tells you that the disc can be read back at least in the same drive that it was burned. Now, other drives can be picky and can't read what other drive burned correctly by whatever reason. What you can do is to make sure that you are using quality discs such as Verbatim. But even Verbatim comes in good and bad flavour. Since you didn't post a log so we can see witch type of disc you used please do so. You can find old logs via Help menu.
  5. It's not a limitation of ImgBurn current release. Most probably the enclosure is the culprit. ImgBurn knows USB 3.0 from 2.5.8.0 - 16th June 2013 The changelog clearly states: Added: The effective USB connection speed (1.1, 2.0, 3.0) for USB devices to the initial device scan log entries.
  6. Why not? It's the same as ejecting the drive and replace the disc in the drive, the installer picks it up and continues the process.
  7. I remember when they announced the aquizition, they acquired the whole line of production and the technology from TY and prommissed to continue the line and produce the same dye as was produce by TY, so that line become CMC Pro Powered by TY Technology.
  8. I think it's worth to try it. I mean, when the device is rejected from the system there are some remains left that prevents the system to assign a new instance of that device in other place of the system of the same device that once was connected and the system is trying to match it back to the old connection but something isn't quite right in pairing it back. So, the clear of the ghosts it forces the system to re-recognize the device as it's a new one never connected so it assigns it correctly this time.
  9. @dbminter Did you tried to remove the device from the system insted of restart to see if it works without the restart thing? Can you try one of these methods? I'm curious if it works. I did the manual thing in the Device Manager for an external Hard Drive that was not recognized in any USB port for unknown reason (probably drive letter assign missmatch) and worked. https://www.raymond.cc/blog/uninstall-hidden-devices-calling-ghostbuster/
  10. I'm not an expert in this field. I'm using ESET. Google should help you find more info.
  11. Your antivirus should be doing its job if it's a decent one.
  12. Don't bother with the manager if you can get the file directly.
  13. Please, read the small text.
  14. I think it reffers to as you can't burn to multiple drives like a duplicator does. Only one session to one drive. Not one session to multi drives.
  15. From all that discs I remember that free month of antivirus. So if you buy the magazin every month, you have free antivirus all year long.
  16. That's why we always recommend to try all the available speeds and not only the low speeds. Only than you can try change the discs or other troubleshouting.
  17. Yes, I live in Romania and as you guessed the word "utilitare" is the romanian word for "utility" meaning something useful, handy or good to be used and comes from french word "utilitaire" Most probably I'll find that disc if I dug out the collection of Chip magazine I own. Some years ago they stoped the publication of the romanian version than restarted and from mid 2020 no new issue but now they intend to start again from april this year. Just saw the announcement on their Facebook page. https://ro-ro.facebook.com/RevistaCHIP About the coincidence... I don't know it just happens to be. That customization program probably got reported by Apple as "stealing their image" or Microsoft don't want that Windows computers to look like OSX and marked it.
  18. Ahh, now I see that the hash is for the disc you downloaded not the file that is on that disc. Oh well!
  19. @Ken852 We, the Beta Team Members, have acces to all released versions in history and it's not public, sorry. The info I posted is from the original SetupImgBurn_2.1.0.0.exe that is in the archive maintained by LIGHTNING UK! For retreiving the info I used HashCheck Shell Extension http://code.kliu.org/hashcheck/ or you can use the newer modified version https://github.com/gurnec/HashCheck So the file from that downloaded disc is temperd and not the original file released by the author.
  20. According to the changelog... 2.3.2.40 - 12th January 2008 ...... Added: Version information to the installer exe. ...... So yes, SetupImgBurn_2.1.0.0.exe don't have version information. For SetupImgBurn_2.1.0.0.exe these are the hash info File: SetupImgBurn_2.1.0.0.exe CRC-32: f05fc9e4 MD4: fe004d84570589d1a561c810d29e8ab4 MD5: f96434d2b31f4cc5a94af31750de7b8f SHA-1: a508fd607fa64a57c9beb3ee60d33563606a7752
  21. Just add the drive with the disc as the source in Build mode (Create image file from disc)
  22. ImgBurn can show you how many discs has burned since install. Go to Help> ImgBurn Statistics... Other than that I don't know.
  23. @James352 I'm not sure what you really want to achieve but from what I conclude from your description is that you want to automate the install of a bunch of programs launching a single file. You can create a .cmd or .bat file and point to each program you need to install. Put that file in the same folder with the .exe or .msi you have and just execute the file you created. To be seamless/unattended you need to know the silent switch commands to all the programs you put in chain. You can also do copy files to certain location or import .reg settings you need. You can learn more here http://unattended.sourceforge.net/installers.php Here is my silent install of ImgBurn .cmd file. Open it with Notepad or any text editor to see the structure. The first part is to get the admin privileges that you can start to install any program. I modified it to add some more programs (Adobe Reader DC and WinRAR) to the list before the exit line, like so, you can add more. Don't use spaces in the path or you need put them between quote marks like "Path to the program.exe" Install ImgBurn_x64.cmd @dbminter @LUK! You should give a look at Ventoy https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html
  24. Regarding CMCPro... I use them for some time and burned a cake of 50 and some from another cake and no problem so far. I really like the glossy print. I use CMC Taiyo Yuden DVD-R printable WaterShield White, Glossy, water-resistant in this drive I 15:43:37 Destination Device: [0:0:0] Optiarc DVD RW AD-7261S 1.03 (G:) (SATA) I 15:43:37 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: TYG03)
