  1. Ahh, PayPal. When you care enough to get screwed buy the very best!
  2. It confused me as well LUK. I didn't realize that it was someone else.
  3. Let us know how it went with them after you've had a chance to try a few.
  4. Glad to see that you fixed your problem. Thanks for posting what you did to alleviate it. It might come in handy if someone else has the same problem.
  5. And wow, did I get burned.
  6. So your drive just failed to burn to the disc. As lfc said, this is because you're using cheapo double layer media. Verbatim media might cost more but then you don't end up throwing it in the bin. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. btw, you do not need to manually specify the layer break position in the settings, put that option back on 'Automatic' and just let ImgBurn read the value from the .DVD file. Similar problem here again, burnt 4 or 5 disk without any problems and now fubarred 2 disks, 1 last night and 1 just now. All burns using Verbatim+R D/L disks. Here's a copy of the last log file: ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.1.0.0 - Log ; Friday, 05 January 2007, 21:10:08 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 21:06:27 ImgBurn Version 2.1.0.0 started! In your first log you had the write speed set to 2.4x and you wrote to Layer 0 but had problems with Layer 1. Now, with the write speed set a 1x you failed to even burn the first layer. In addition you did not take LUK's advice when he said "you do not need to manually specify the layer break position in the settings, put that option back on 'Automatic' and just let ImgBurn read the value from the .DVD file."
  7. Hi Iron: Welcome to our forum. I know you don't want to hear this but try it with Verbatim DVD+R DL media. You then rule out the most common cause of DL burning problems.
  8. So am I..... Thanks to Maritimer............ Wow !!! I never realised your av was Maritimer !!!! ??? I never heard of the place. Am I missing something?? I think donta is suggesting that you have downloaded some smilies from the internet and probably grabbed some spyware as well Thanks for the explanation. I don't do downloads like that. Most of my smilies come from a Firefox extension. I can honestly say that in all of the years I had computers (almost 20) I have never been hit by a virus, trojan, spyware or any other malware.

  10. Are you sure you meant to say "important"? For the few of you who might not understand...think about it!
  11. That's just his cover. He's in Intelligence.
  12. Hi menace; Glad to have you with the ImgBurn forum. Your firmware appears to be up to date but your choice of media is no good. You should be using nothing but Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. The problem is that according to your log your drive will not burn + media. DO NOT TRY TO USE Verbatim DVD-R DL discs. Do you have another burner you could use?
  13. Good call polo. You could be right. He did say "I can not find the burn device" but I didn't pay attention to it until you brought it up.
