What does it say in the status bar at the bottom of the main window when that pops up? A screenshot would help. Are you given the option to send a crash report? If so, please do that so I can take a look at exactly where it's crashing.

It's exactly what you did before, but you use 'Create image file from files/folders' instead of 'Write files/folders to disc'. Which is the same as changing the 'Output' from 'Device' to 'Image File'. EDIT: Snap

That shouldn't have been necessary - assuming your drive managed to verify it after the burn had finished.

It's better/easier if you post the log. From what I can see in your picture, the drive appears to have made a bad burn on the disc and having cycled the tray, it still looks empty. Maybe a firmware update would fix the problem? http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S203B/files.html

You should make an image first and then burn it to disc. Your machine can only manage to burn all of those little files at 4x and the drive is configured to burn at 48x - that's not a good thing. You should also drop the write speed down a bit to something like 24x. Oh and there's a newer firmware available for your drive. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH22NP20/files.html

It doesn't have to worry about connections, the OS and drivers deal with that stuff.

Drives generally spin down after a couple of minutes. If something keeps accessing them, they'll keep spinning or spin up again anyway.

Correct. Changing the layer break setting has nothing to do with a disc being readable or not. In any case, you shouldn't be using a custom layer break position. Put it back on 'Calculate Optimal' and let the program read the correct one from the .DVD / .MDS files.

Create the ISO normally (with default media sizes) and then just zip them up. The blank space (padding) at the start of the image will vanish due to the compression - giving you the best of both worlds.

So then you already know it works ok.

Like I said before, upnp just saves you the job of setting up the virtual server. I have no idea about how LiNK works etc but it's only asking for 2 ports and it's got them both - manually, via the Virtual Server method. In my mind, that's enough. Why don't you actually try it and see if it works?

Cool ok, so stick with DMZ config being empty and using a Virtual Server to configure the 2 ports for TCP/UDP. Firmware v1.05, 1.06 or 1.07 must have included a fix for the earlier issue of UDP not working via the virtual server config.

1. Because I actually read the update instructions I linked you to earlier. 2. Why is what working, the firmware update? Isn't that the same as number 1? If you mean LiNK, it's working because you've fixed the things it 'failed' on earlier (ports and authentication). That depends on what you've done out of my list in post # 40.

I dont understand this It's what you did earlier today. You'd been setting TCP/UDP as the protocol in the Virtual Server screen and the LiNK test only showed TCP as passing the test (UDP failed). You then switched the Virtual Server entry to just using the UDP protocol and the LiNK test then said that both TCP and UDP had failed. You did unzip it yeah?

Try the virtual server stuff again. Both with TCP/UDP selected and with just UDP (as you did earlier). If they both still fail in the LiNK test page, put the xbox back in the DMZ and remove the virtual server entries again.
