  1. Can you try the drive back in another PC? Can you try that other drive in this PC? Your drive is just reporting a 'write error' as it tries to burn the disc. In theory, that can only be caused by your drive/firmware/media combo. Have you tried Taiyo Yuden CDs? They are by far the best.
  2. All we really needed was a copy of the log - it's much better and easier to deal with Forget about using the UME MID discs, you want the proper MKM-001/003 stuff. Your drive is having trouble writing to what you're using now.
  3. You didn't really answer my questions... language barrier maybe? Anyway, I hope you understood what I said and the point I was trying to make.
  4. How many times has it failed to burn a *new* disc? Have you tried burning at 6x and 8x too? Notice your selected speed of 2.4x isn't even an option for that drive/firmware/media combo so the drive uses 4x instead. btw, you should install service pack 1 for Windows 7.
  5. Stop using the Patin Couffin I/O interface and go back to SPTI. 99.9% of the 'magic' fixes you read on Youtube are complete nonsense. You should also have updated your Windows 7 installation to Service Pack 1 by now. That log is just another 'RITEK-S04-66' MID disc (2 in fact)... same as your initial log. The brand name (Imation, Maxell etc) is not important, the MID is.
  6. That log doesn't show an error message. The version of ImgBurn you have installed makes no difference to your drives ability to burn discs (that's controlled by its firmware) - put the latest version back on. Service Pack 2 is available for Windows Vista (and has been for years now), you should install it.
  7. Try cleaning your drive with a cleaning disc. Don't try and burn single layer discs at 2x, use something like 8x instead. Don't try and reuse a disc that has previous failed to burn. If the drive continues to fail burning various discs (even after cleaning it), treat yourself to a new one.
  8. Stick with the default one - SPTI, it's built into the OS. TY are great for CDs and DVDs but if all their BD discs are LTH, I'd probably steer clear of them and stick with some decent HTL stuff instead.
  9. TTG02 is not a MID of a rewritable disc, it's an 8x DVD-R. DVD-R can't be erased, they're 'write once' media.
  10. Post the logs from the new failed burns please. To me it seems your drive is failing to burn just about everything - time to invest in a new one?
  11. You may find the 1.06 firmware has no (or just limited) support for the 'JVC-AM-S6L-001' MID... I really couldn't tell you. The supported speeds are from the drive/firmware/media combo though - ImgBurn just reports what the drive tells it. Are you using ElbyCDIO because of 'non admin' user permissions in XP?
  12. Try it in safe mode and see if you have the same problem. It must be something installed/running on your PC because it's working fine for me and you appear to be the only person with the issue.
  13. Click the Erase button in the Destination box when you're in Write/Build (Device)/Discovery mode. Or right click the drive selection box -> Erase -> Full or Tools -> Drive -> Erase -> Full
  14. You could try deleting both of those filters using the same feature within ImgBurn, reboot and give it another go.
  15. ImgBurn will never do any of that, sorry. I'm not interested in video encoding/conversion and know nothing about it.
  16. Is the motherboard running the latest BIOS? There's an F12 version available here... http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-beta-bios.html or http://www.station-drivers.com/page/gigabyte/ga-z77x-ud5h_wb_wifi.htm I guess it would make sense to backup/save/take a picture of/write down the current settings, install the F12 BIOS and then do a complete CMOS reset so it's back at factory defaults. If you still have the same problem after that, at least it's not due to anything you/scan have done.
  17. Yes, you'd have to uncheck that box and then do a full erase on your BD-R discs. After that you'll be able to burn to it as you normally would - but again, it'll have less free space and should take longer to burn.
  18. Please don't write off the info contained in that thread (try actually following some of the recommendations), it's based on years of experience and is key to finding a solution to the problems you're having. If there wasn't a continuous stream of problems seen with the cheaper DL discs, there would have been no reason for me to make that thread in the first place. Right click the drive selection box in ImgBurn (when in Write mode), pick 'Family Tree', close the prompt and then copy + paste everything from the Log window please.
  19. So you just did a copy + paste of his log an not your own? That doesn't help anyone. Post your own log please.
  20. Can you post an updated log showing the family tree info again please. Can you also post the filter driver list (use the feature in the Tools menu and copy to clipboard+paste). The likely causes for the problem are drivers - hence my comment in post #2.
  21. It's 11:55 PM here in the UK on a Sunday night and you're getting impatient because nobody has answered you within 20 minutes?! Right click the drive selection box in ImgBurn (when in Write mode), pick 'Family Tree', close the prompt and then copy + paste everything from the Log window please. Oh and why are you posting under 2 names? - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=20449 I already told you to read this in the other thread - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  22. Install this... http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3045&DwnldID=21594&keyword=chipset+device+software&lang=eng reboot and then install this (STOR_Win7_XP_11.2.0.1006.exe)... http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21408&keyword=%22rapid%22&lang=eng
  23. I'd be interested to see what happens if you do a full disc scan using something like HD Tune (or anything else that can read the drive from start to finish at sector level). At the moment you're seeing an error as the OS reports it, not the drive. I assume there's no problem with the drive on the Gigabyte/NEC card in your other machine? You can find newer firmware/drivers for that NEC card here btw - http://www.station-drivers.com/page/renesas.htm Oh and going back to a question in your original post, it's not a problem with the buffer kicking in, the buffer is only filling up because the destination drive (i.e. the usb one) has stopped writing out the data as quickly (or at all). So normally your source drive must be the bottleneck (no buffering) and suddenly it isn't (buffer starts to fill). Could it not just be some sort of power down function? Maybe it doesn't think the controller is being used and is shutting it off to save power? You can normally disable the power features of those devices. The Nec controller has a checkbox for it in the 'nusb3utl.exe' application installed as part of its drivers (I have no experience of the Intel USB 3 controller). Then of course there are the normal ones in Device Manager. It might be worth checking the motherboard bios too for any power saving options.
