  1. Try a Verbatim DVD+RW. At the moment all I can tell you is that your drive doesn't appear to like the 'INFODISC-A10-01' dye/MID.
  2. I don't think that's possible. Such information isn't contained on the disc.
  3. What do they mean? They mean what it says.
  4. It looks like you've still got the 'Matroska Pack' installed. That's given you the CoreFlac and ffdshow. You also have DC-Bass installed. I believe all of those support decoding flac files. Open up the DSFMgr program I linked you to earlier, find madFlac and change it's 'Merit' to 'Preferred' (00800000) If need be, you can highlight and 'unregister' filters using that same application. Make sure you're using ImgBurn 2.5.7.0 and try again.
  5. If I'm 110% honest, I'm not sure that I ever actually tried it properly. It was something I just thought I'd add one day (ages ago) but then got side tracked by something else. I hadn't even added it to the changelog until a couple of days ago when someone spotted the new text in the language file! So anyway, enough of the excuses, I'll get it fixed asap and thanks for reporting it.
  6. v2.5.7.0 is out now
  7. Build mode relies on the OS for being able to read the files off the disc (normally it would be reading a hard drive). There's no special read error / retry handling in place for that and being 'Build' mode, the 'Read' mode options don't apply. I'm sure IsoBuster will do the job (if it's at all possible), but an alternative might be something like Unstoppable Copier - http://www.roadkil.net/program.php?ProgramID=29
  8. Correct, the disc isn't finalised. You've got an empty 2nd session open. I don't really know how you'd close that. I don't think it's possible without actually writing some data to it. I can't find an option in Nero to close/finalise anything AFTER the fact, you just have the option to close/finalise at burn time.
  9. Do you have any codec packs installed on your PC? The first thing to do would be to uninstall those. I guess what you're aiming for is a system where ImgBurn tells you it can't decode the flac files because there are no DirectShow filters installed that can do the job - at which point you can just install madFlac. You can use 'InstalledCodec' to get a list of what's currently on the system. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/installed_codec.html In the 'View' menu you'll find an option to create a HTML report of all items. Do that, save the report (via the File menu, press the 'Alt' key to bring it up if it's not already visible), zip it up and then upload it here if you like - I'll take a look. If you have multiple filters that can handle a certain type of file, you can use DSFMgr to change their 'Merit' (priority). http://www.softella.com/dsfm/index.en.htm
  10. What you're burning is not the problem here, it's the discs you're burning to (or at least *trying* to burn to). There might well be other reasons for buying an iHAS drive - but they're beyond the scope of this forum.
  11. As usual, you can download it and view the changelog by visiting the main website. http://www.imgburn.com/ Special 'Thanks' to all the beta testers, translators and donors!
  12. That's *a* log but it's not *the* log of you burning the disc. See if this helps you find it. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632
  13. Sorry, I don't, no. Try the other supported write speeds though, 2.4x might not be the optimal one. If you're having nothing but problems with the RITEK discs, why don't you give in and buy the Verbatim ones that everyone recommends? http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  14. It sounds like your player is having trouble reading the disc. Can you post the log of you burning the disc?
  15. Yes. And you could have looked at it and found the answer for yourself in the time it took you to reply
  16. Had the files have decoded to digital silence (a bunch of zeros), ImgBurn would have detected it and told you about the problem.... so it must be something close to it but not complete silence Do you know what filters are installed on your machine for handling flac files? madFlac is the one I've tried and tested. It produces a filter driver list like this though, so I'm not sure if it's what you're also using/running...
  17. It must be related to whichever filter is being used. These are generic directshow issues and are external to ImgBurn. Does the disc play ok on the PC or is the issue with your standalone player AND the PC?
  18. I doubt it's a problem of the image not being complete. You have audio tracks after the data track so even if stuff was missing off the end, it would only be audio and not anything important. That doesn't mean the image isn't faulty though - so maybe trying a totally different one will make all the difference. In case the playback device is just having trouble reading the disc, try burning at 16x rather than 'Max' speed and make sure you push the drive track back in when it tells you to so that the program can verify the disc properly.
  19. I understand what you're saying, you're just wrong. The problem here is that you don't understand the technical stuff. Your image is 307246 sectors in size. So in Mode 1 terms (where 1 sector = 2048 bytes), that's 307246 * 2048 = 629,239,808 bytes = 614,492 KB = 600 MB (Which is what Explorer is showing you) But in Mode 2 terms (where 1 sector = 2352 bytes), that's 307246 * 2352 = 722,642,592 bytes = 705,705 KB = 689 MB If your game stops working early, it's nothing to do with it appearing smaller than it should be and data having been 'missed' during the burn.
  20. You should have let the verify operation complete. It's what lets us know the disc is 100% readable. Like I said before, don't concern yourself with the size. Windows is only listing 600mb because that's all it can see in terms of Mode 1 sectors. Your disc has been written using Mode 2 sectors (and audio) so the sector size is 2352 bytes rather than 2048.
  21. Wow, you're brave trying 'Test Mode' when the program tells you the drive probably *will* write data to the disc! I can't give you a reason for the drive returning 'Write Protected'. It's just something internal to the drive. The second log shows the drive reporting a 'Write Error' whilst trying to burn. If it keeps having problems burning to 'VERBAT-IMd-000' discs, try some different ones.
  22. If you want help with ImgBurn, post the log from you burning and verifying the image/disc with ImgBurn please. Don't concern yourself with sizes, the data is all there.
  23. Deja vu! (Topics now merged) As we've already been though this, you know that your drive is too old to support the discs. As it won't accept a firmware update either, your options are limited to... 1. Buying a new drive. 2. Using Verbatim discs.
  24. You shouldn't have to do anything special. Just but your VIDEO_TS folder as per the guides in the 'Guides' section of the forums. If you have a problem with playback, post a log so we can see what you're doing. (as per the pink box up the top )
