  1. It's unclear if you actually still have a problem. If this... ...is the last line in the log window (don't forget it scrolls), I need you to look at the status bar at the bottom of the main window and tell me what it says. That'll be what the program / your drive is still (stuck) doing.
  2. I can't see the failure in that log. If you still have the program open (after the failture), copy + paste the info from the log window. That said, you should probably read this... http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12200
  3. Post a log please - as per the pink box up the top
  4. It's all hit and miss. I doubt you'll get anywhere with anything beyond 4x. Take a look at my settings / results here - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=18871&&do=findComment&comment=136519 I did 12 discs from the same spindle with various settings until I found some that seemed to work reliably.
  5. We do have a 'Guides' section "How to copy a disc" http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6380
  6. It's covered here - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=19743
  7. That's fine apart from the 'to make commercial use of the work' bit. You're free to use (share/remix) the screenshots when talking about ImgBurn - which shouldn't ever be 'commercial' - as per the license at the bottom of the main website. Of course if 'commercial' means something else (i.e. maybe just advertising ImgBurn - I'm no lawyer) then you're fine to use the creative commons license for the screenshots.
  8. Probably... what's the English translation? lol
  9. Ah now that's interesting... yours is a multi track but not multi session. I don't recall seeing a disc layout like that before on DVD. Can you post ALL of the disc info from the original disc please? I might be able to add an exception for layouts like that but I'm not sure I have the means to create such a disc that I could use for testing. Do you recall what you did to record it like that? Multiple recordings over a period of time? Were you recording to it directly or just transferring stuff to it now and then?
  10. The isolinux.bin file has to be patched with an updated location/checksum (the idea behind the 'patch boot information table' option), you can't use a 'boot image'. Instead, you have to point ImgBurn at the isolinux.bin file and let it do its thing.
  11. There aren't any that do what you want. I'll mirror what Windows 7 added support for though and use Ctrl+Shift+N.
  12. Other software working perfectly doesn't really mean anything. Your system shouldn't be freezing - sure, ImgBurn is triggering it but it's not the problem. As far as I can tell, the 990FX and SB950 do not have native support for IDE now - that's why your drive is running from a Via controller. Installing AMD/ATI drivers wouldn't do anything for your VIA controller. Installing the Via IDE Falcon drivers might do though. http://www.viaarena.com/displaydrivers.aspx?PageID=1&OSID=1...OSID=1&CatID=1180&SubCatID=116 Beyond that, I can't help you I'm afraid. EDIT: Actually, before I call it a day, post up your filter driver list please - use the feature in the 'Tools' menu.
  13. Is that VIA chipset controller actually on your motherboard or is it a plug in card? IDE is pretty much phased out now - Intel dropped it from their boards years ago. What made you get a new board and then stick with an old IDE drive rather than an SATA one you could run natively off the chipset? Not all plug in cards are optical drive friendly - ones that aren't have issues like the one you're seeing.
  14. How many passes did you actually get through in Memtest86+ when you did that? It sure does just look like a bit is getting flipped somewhere.
  15. Ok well that would have been from 2.5.5.0 or 2.5.6.0... but it'll look identical on 2.5.7.0.
  16. Which one exactly... there are loads They won't be from 2.5.7.0, no... but that doesn't mean the ones from 2.5.7.0 would actually look any different. One or two might have subtle tweaks.
  17. "device not ready (no reference position found)" ^^ that means the drive can't initialise the disc properly. Eject + reinsert it. If it won't work with any discs now, it's probably faulty.
  18. So you can load the program just fine when there's no disc in the drive? If so, please do so. Then, switch to Write mode, right click the drive selection box and click 'Family Tree'. Press CTRL+C to copy the contents of the prompt to your clipboard and the CTRL+V (paste) them into a reply. If it's freezing on certain commands then a driver or filter driver must have a problem with that command. The program isn't doing anything wrong here, something about your OS install is just unable to process the commands properly.
  19. Sometimes you can modify them to do extra stuff... but mainly this would be useful for people that got their installation/setup files in a zip download.
  20. You can't build a bootable installation disc from an existing installation of Windows, you need the original disc or zip file containing the right files (some of Microsoft's downloadable versions come like that).
  21. You can use one of the screenshots shown on the main website (in the screenshots section) if you like.
  22. It hasn't, no. Exporting and importing HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ImgBurn is the correct way to do it.
