  1. If you've got discs that multiavchd burnt (via ImgBurn) that work and discs you've burnt (via ImgBurn) that don't work, compare the folder structure to see what's different. It could be something as simple as including (or not including) the 'certificate' folder.
  2. The enclosure you've linked to is for a little 2.5" hard drive. You need a 5.25" enclosure suitable for optical drives. i.e. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tempest-5-25-Blu-ray-DVD-RW-Sata-ESATA-USB-Enclosure-/300555082457?pt=UK_Collectables_HardDriveEnclosures_RL&hash=item45fa7a9ad9 It says they ship worldwide... no idea on postage costs to Lithuania though.
  3. I'm sure it's cheaper to buy discs on a spindle rather than buying them individually. What you'd do is buy an external USB enclosure and put a standard desktop drive in it - something like an Optiarc 7260/7280.
  4. Do you get the same issue if you try burning at 3x or 4x ? If it just keeps failing then yeah, you should get another burner - and not another slimline one!
  5. You didn't verify the disc so we can't see if it's actually readable. Assuming it would have been, the issue must be with your source files (and/or the folder structure). ImgBurn just burns 'as-is', so if something doesn't playback your disc, it must be because it can't read the disc itself or doesn't like what's on it. What software did you use to create said AVCHD structure in the first place?
  6. You seem to be missing the point. Your drive doesn't support the discs you're using. If it did, it would be offering more than just '4x' as a supported write speed.
  7. The GH30N is a 16x speed DVD burner and it's only listing 4x as a supported speed for the 'MBI 01RG40' dye/MID... so it probably doesn't have *any* support for that one in its firmware and is using some sort of generic / fallback write strategy - which is failing miserably (hence the unreadable disc).
  8. You've probably messed with the 'Write Mode' option in the settings ('Write' tab). Put it back on Auto. You need to update ImgBurn too. Oh, and install SP1 for Windows 7.
  9. That's another UME02 dye/MID disc. Ideally I need the info from another one.
  10. Right well that's a complete mess Eject and reinsert it a few times to see if it ever looks correct. If it doesn't, try using some better discs. The drive might not like the 'UME02' dye/MID very much. I'd be interested to see a burn log from the 'other' discs you used - and also the disc info from them. If the drive is playing up with all discs, try cleaning it with a cleaning disc or invest in another drive.
  11. With that disc in the drive, switch to Read mode and copy + paste all the disc info from the box on the right please.
  12. It just does the entire disc I'm afraid. Have a look at Exact Audio Copy (EAC).
  13. What filter drivers do you have installed? Use the feature in the tools menu.
  14. You should look at VirtualBox... it's free
  15. I have the 8102 build in VMWare and it definitely has it I'm sooo not a fan of the new 'Metro' interface/app style though so I'm glad they made Windows 7 as good as it is.
  16. That start screen in Win 8 has a button for desktop. It's annoying that the start button on said desktop then takes you back to the start screen though! lol
  17. It doesn't, no. The quickest way would just be to have a cd template in publisher / word or whatever and copy + paste into it.
  18. That depends... In the 'Create CUE File' window there's a little button next to 'Quick OK' that has an image of a notepad on it. Click that once you've added the tracks and it'll show you a basic track listing in notepad or whatever.
  19. If it does the same at 3x and 6x too, invest in a new drive.
  20. You'll have to author those mpg files into DVD Video disc format before you can burn them. Take a look at DVD Flick, AVStoDVD or ConvertXtoDVD for that.
  21. There won't be any info in that box if the drive can't initialise the disc. Just eject and reinsert the disc until it actually works. Note that this is a hardware issue and nothing to do with ImgBurn. Cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc may help.
  22. A lot of players only play AVI files when using the ISO9660 / Joliet file systems (*Not* UDF). As the file is too big for (restricted) ISO9660/Joliet, you may have been prompted to switch to UDF. You'd need to ignore that and enanble the 'Allow Files Exceeding Size Limit' -> 'Multiple Extents' options. If your player supports DivX it should also support Xvid. ImgBurn doesn't convert and I've already mentioned the names of programs that do - should you decide to take that route.
  23. I'm glad the firmware update appears to have solved your 'sync cache' issue That won't have fixed this issue though... That typically comes from the drivers blocking the command - because it's not one they recognise. Updated drivers for the motherboard/controller may or may not fix it.
  24. It's impossible for us to say 100% it'll fix the issue. But if a new drive doesn't do it then it can only be the discs.
  25. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 As a side note, go into the Settings, switch to the 'I/O' tab and change the 'SPTI - Device Enumeration Method' option to 'Device Interface'.
