Wii games are in special format and copy protected - ImgBurn won't touch them and we can't help you.
-
Fingers crossed then!

lol it's not writing ok at all, it's still screwed. Update your firmware like I told you to in my previous post.
-
Eventually I'll probably take to using the Vista equivalents of what I have now. I've already started collecting them. I'm VERY fussy (about *everything* !) so your icons would have to be *awesome* for me to consider using them. Oh and of course I'd need to have the full range so I can use the same style throughout the program.

Try installing the 1.11 firmware from here: http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_47-file...rr_111.exe.html If that doesn't work, try the drive on another pc. Then read mmalves last post again - but do it properly this time. We know you have the drive externally at the moment but it's just a normal drive in a box. Take it out of the box and you can plug it into a normal desktop machine via ide/sata or whatever. I assume you've already tried a new USB lead and different USB sockets on your PC? Can you still burn single layer DVD-R / DVD+R ok?
-
Have you upgraded to 2.4.3.0 yet? If so, please post a new log from that version.
-
For Mode 1 Data, ISO. For Mode 2 and Audio, CUE+BIN. i.e. exactly what ImgBurn produces.

I don't want that cluttering up my main window You can do it via the queue window or during the burn.

Using Verbatim Blu-ray BD-R/Memorex BD-R
LIGHTNING UK! replied to photofash2's topic in ImgBurn Support
I'm not an expert in the effects of dust/dirt on the lense of a Blu-ray optical drive. All I know is that it's not burning and you want it to. As such, you have to just perform basic drive diagnostics... 1. Try different media - Done. 2. Try the drive in a different PC - N/A 3. Try cleaning the drive - Not Done 4. Talk to the manufacturer about the problem - Not Done Oh and yes of course I read your log. It didn't show you burning Verbatim BD-R or BD-RE but it did show the drive failing to burn RITEK BD-R and BD-RE. -
Using Verbatim Blu-ray BD-R/Memorex BD-R
LIGHTNING UK! replied to photofash2's topic in ImgBurn Support
If you want to take it apart and clean it with a cotton bud/alcohol or similar then that's up to you. Don't forget that you'll probably void any warranty on it if you do that. -
I have no interest in doing this, sorry. Don't make your images in those formats if you don't want them in them. Other images are normally in those formats for a reason and converting them to a 'dumb' ISO will defeat the purpose and perhaps stop them from working.

Using Verbatim Blu-ray BD-R/Memorex BD-R
LIGHTNING UK! replied to photofash2's topic in ImgBurn Support
With a cleaning disc. Can you try the drive in another pc? -
I'll add one so it removes all files with 'known' audio file extensions from the list of files it's going to delete. EDIT: If you mean the 'Don't Prompt Delete Image' option, that of course applies to all filetypes... but I guess it does the job 99% of the time. Hmm maybe I don't need a new option then.

The first error is the important one. So your drive just failed to burn around that area and that's the reason it gave. Try burning at a different speed... they are the 8x discs after all and so maybe the firmware has been tweaked for higher speeds.

Xbox games are copy protected, ImgBurn can't read them at all. By default, the console won't play backups anyway.

Using Verbatim Blu-ray BD-R/Memorex BD-R
LIGHTNING UK! replied to photofash2's topic in ImgBurn Support
Do the Verbatim BD-R fail too? As a last resort, try cleaning the drive. -
That issue was solved a few versions back.
-
Not all drives do like the newer 8x ones that much, that's why the 'pinned' thread at the top of this forum about burning DL discs recommends you get the 2.4x ones. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

A poll isn't worth my time! People will answer when/if they read it.

Normally the drives reset after a firmware update - but that's due to their internal code and not something I can tell them to do. A bus reset isn't something you want to do if you can ever avoid it. Ejecting + reinserting is the best way by far.

Ye olde bug: Remote Desktop hides "Operation Completed!" message
LIGHTNING UK! replied to Falcon's topic in ImgBurn Bugs
Which window actually has focus? If you click the taskbar button, can't you then just press Enter? If you click the main window and it just goes 'ding', where does the focus go or which window is active after that? -
By updating your copy of ImgBurn. The 'latest version' is 2.4.3.0, not 2.4.2.0 as you're running.

It doesn't matter what disc format you use (DVD, HD DVD, BD), UDF is the only (common) file system for optical discs that supports single files >= 4GB in size. You don't want to convert HD content to DVD Video, you'll lose all the benefits. So basically, yeah you're left with buying a little media player. I've heard of the popcorn ones but never really seen them. I have seen/tried the Western Digital TV one though and I think they're pretty cool. Get yourself one of those and a little external hdd or big usb memory stick (16 / 32GB) and you're all set.

Personally I'd just (and do) install the individual codecs I need - i.e. the ones I linked you to earlier. Yes ImgBurn will handle your CUE+FLAC file just fine once DirectShow can handle Flac files. In fact, you can actually embed the CUE inside the FLAC's metadata and ImgBurn can burn those too - you just have to feed the FLAC file to Write mode.

I made them up in the first place, of course I don't have a problem with any of them I was kinda waiting for some other people's opinions.
