No need for a new thread, your other one (now this one) was only 3 from the top!
It's not hard to google for media, do some research.
Note that I did say Verbatim don't actually appear to make BD-RE DL yet.
Post the log file please.
If you used exactly the same program + settings for the burn, the media you burn onto shouldn't make a difference. If it can play AVI from CD it can play it from DVD too... so something must be different.
The (first) command failed so the program tried a slightly different one (automatically).
It finished ok in the end so don't worry about it.
The LG drives don't really seem to like any BD-RE discs apart from Verbatim ones and I don't think they do DL ones yet.
I'm pretty sure you'll find it is spinning and it'll be writing zeroes to all the sectors.
This isn't something ImgBurn is actually doing, it just sends the 1 'format disc' command and the drive takes care of the rest.
CMC make rubbish discs (dyes), you have to expect them to fail.
That's why I made this thread - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
Buying a certain brand doesn't mean you'll get the same dye each time (verbatim / taiyo yuden are the exception).
As for the 2nd drive, that's a USB chipset / controller / enclosure combo problem.
You can google search for 'The semaphore timeout period has expired' and read loads of junk about it if you so wish.
Load imgburn, switch to write mode, eject the disc, press f8, load the disc... wait until it says it's not empty, then press f8 again.
Save the contents of the log window to a file and upload it.
Your drive is probably erroring out because of an interface / driver issue or it just doesn't like trying to use that rubbish RITEK media.
There's a 1.06 firmware update available from here - http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-H55N/files.html
I think it's important - otherwise I wouldn't make the program do it by default!
You probably want the 'cycle tray before verify' checkbox in the Settings on the Write tab.
No.
ImgBurn doesn't convert anything so if you want a DVD Video disc you need to have DVD Video files (i.e. a VIDEO_TS folder).
Doesn't that software have an 'export' button or anything? What's the actual file extension of the files you DO have?
Sorry, I've been holding off because I keep telling myself that the 2.4.3.0 release is imminent and updating the languages is a pain in the butt so I prefer to do it in one go when they're all using the latest base file.
