  1. This is nothing to do with ImgBurn.
  2. The log is far more useful.
  3. Update your firmware to DE04 and try again. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/TS-L532B/files.html If that doesn't work, get some better discs (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden).
  4. It'll split the data right down the middle (and then round up the first layer to the nearest ecc block).
  5. Faulty memory... bad overclocking? Run memtest+ for a few passes and RMA your memory if it finds errors.
  6. In the 'Write Speed' box down the bottom right of the screen.
  7. So you know all about the CDB's, Sense Area data and stuff then? Ok, fair enough. Here's the one Windows 7's erase disc feature sends to the drive: CDB: a1 11 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 and here's ImgBurn's one: CDB: a1 11 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Now, if you can see a difference between them that I'm missing, please do tell.
  8. So the matrix one went on ok? That's the most important one. Can you post a filter driver list too please - from the tools menu. (just copy to clipboard and paste)
  9. yup If you don't get that same 'invalid command op code' error, the automatic thing will work just fine.
  10. Install these: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/10884/eng/...1.0.1012_PV.exe http://downloadmirror.intel.com/17412/eng/IATA88ENU.exe
  11. Open device manager and see what you have listed in the ide ata/atapi branch and also the scsi / raid one. List all that info here or post a screenshot.
  12. So you have the same issue as the other guy in this forum - 'Invalid Command Operation Code'... meaning either your drive doesn't support the book type commands or the drivers are blocking it. Find out which controller the drive is attached to and then get the latest driver from the manufacturers website.
  13. It's nothing to do with that. Your drive is producing the coaster, not the software. The software has nothing to do with burn quality / disc readability, that all comes down to your drive/firmware/media combo. Try changing the 'write type' to 'incremental' in the settings. That sometimes work differently.
  14. What message do you get when you try to change it manually via the LG 'change book type' tab?
  15. To be fair, you have no idea what's happening under the hood. I very much doubt the internal erase feature was actually any different to the ImgBurn one (i.e. the drive returned the error on both), but ImgBurn tells you about it and perhaps the built in one doesn't / didn't. If the errors are genuine (and that certainly looks like it is), the software you're using really doesn't make a difference.
  16. I've no idea. Ask in a forum that actually deals with that kinda stuff... this one doesn't I'm afraid.
  17. I'm fairly sure it doesn't work like that! You can only have 1 BDMV folder on a disc and renaming to BDMV1, 2 etc won't do squat.
  18. 'TDK' doesn't mean anything, it's the dye that's important and those ones are using the 'CMC MAG. AM3' dye - which isn't too clever. Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden ONLY use the best dyes on the market (MCC / MKM / TY). Try cleaning your drive with a cleaning disc (or take it apart and do it manually - carefully!), it's old and has probably got dirty over the years.
  19. Correct!
  20. You'll want it to be a Silicon Image chipset based card really, they're about the most compatible you can get for optical drives.
  21. The UDMA error is the important one. Try a new cable (as short as possible), update (or revert) your drivers. Try and get the controller out of RAID mode if you don't need it in it - optical drives do not like being on RAID controllers. Prodisc is still crappy media, use decent stuff if at all possible - 'decent' is anything Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden.
  22. Can the drive read any other DL discs ok? like originals or ones you've already burnt?
  23. You know the PS3 is a Blu-ray device... right?
  24. What controller is that drive attached to? (Make + model)
