  1. Got a new log? If you look at the PMA thread at the top of this forum you'll see that most applications don't look for / care about errors during the finalisation stage, ImgBurn does.
  2. Yes, the discs are the problem. As we tell everyone with DL burning issues... buy Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x discs (MKM-001-00 dye, Made in singapore).
  3. You can change the size of the buffers to suit your needs. The program itself is about 24mb when first loaded.
  4. Try burning at one of the other supported speeds.
  5. mmalves is correct,
  6. If you've managed to make such an image then surely you should have the software to burn it too? It might happen one day but it's very low priority because such images aren't really all that common.
  7. Ok I've added load and save queue buttons to the bottom left of the window. Hopefully that will do!
  8. If you add a single folder to the source box and try to 'build' it, it'll ask if that folder should represent the root folder of the disc. i.e. only the content of that folder is present in the root of the disc. If you say no then the actual folder will be present in the root. ImgBurn is meant for burning an existing disc structure... it's not flexible and I'm well aware of that, it was 'by design' at the time.
  9. post 2 deleted. I like xcopy in a command window with verify enabled.
  10. The brand name stamped on the media doesn't mean anything, it's the dye the disc uses that's important - and in the case above that's 'SONY16D1'. As SONY16D1 is a 16x media and your drive only list 8x, I'd say that they're not an ideal match for your burner. Try getting some 8x Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs instead. If that still fails (and you've tried a lense cleaner), invest in a proper external drive and ditch the slimline thing. Slimlines are nowhere near as good as the normal size drives.
  11. You'd have to write it down using a pen and paper then I guess. Or use a camera to get a screenshot and the post that up. I only really need the last few line - one of which should include something about 'CDB' and the name of the drive it's going to (but if you only have 1 drive that's not so important).
  12. That would be me
  13. I would think most sata enclosures don't have any cables in them now, the connector is fixed to the PCB and the drive just slots straight onto it.
  14. It works just fine. Are you sure you're not just confused?
  15. Yes
  16. Does it need to actually say 'yes' ? Down load the firmware and run it. You don't need to make any changes to your PC in order to flash the drive with newer firmware, none of us ever do. What I meant by written and double checked is that the firmware update program will send the updated firmware to the drive, the drive will confirm that it was successful and then it'll probably read it back from the drive so it can compare. If the two match ok it'll tell the drive to commit the update firmware to the chip. So if there's a problem it just won't tell the drive to commit the firmware and your drive will remain unmodified.
  17. Try updating your firmware to DN16 http://121ware.com/support/download/005/gsa4165b_dn16.exe If that still doesn't work (and you should do this anyway), ditch the discs you're using (they're rubbish) and get some Taiyo Yuden / Verbatim ones instead. Burning at 8x or 12x might actually be better than 4x too.
  18. The first error you get is the real one, the ones from retries don't always mean anything. So in your case, this is the real error... Basically, your drive is saying it can't write to the media (for whatever reason). Hopefully the SB03 firmware mmalves mentioned will sort it out, but if it doesn't you should try to find some MKM-001-00 verbatims instead (the 2.4x ones).
  19. Works fine for me too. Once it's saved the queue file and shut down, open the queue file in notepad and see what it contains. btw, nothing you've burnt will be saved in the queue files (even if it's visible in the queue window), only new stuff.
  20. Try with the firmware update first, if that doesn't fix it then you'll need to buy verbatims. Next time you buy discs, buy verbatims / taiyo yudens anyway. The only way to be 'sure' is to try it. We make no promises here
  21. Update your firmware too. http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/...load-14355.html DL13 is the latest.
  22. lol I never bother with any of that rubbish, just run the update. The drive won't accept the firmware until it's been written and double checked anyway.
  23. Are you sure MVD is the file extension being used? It's not one I've ever heard of / seen. In any case, unless it's an image file ImgBurn won't burn it - because ImgBurn doesn't convert / encode anything.
  24. Can you please repeat that with some decent media - you said you had Verbatim somewhere. The L-EC uncorrectable error isn't going to be there because the program couldn't get exclusive access of the drive, it'll be there because the disc are just generally crap or the burner's support for them isn't what it should be.
  25. In a normal batch file they should run sequentially. It's only when I see people using the 'start' command to run ImgBurn that there's a problem (unless the call 'start' with the '/wait' switch). i.e. Start ImgBurn.exe /MODE BUILD..... Start /wait ImgBurn.exe /MODE BUILD......
