What message do the players throw up? There's gotta be some clue in there somewhere as to why they won't play it - unless they just don't support the discs or something. I think donta was talking about the booktype. Is it set to DVD-ROM ?

You really should verify your burns - at the very least until you know you're not having issues with your chosen media. The log doesn't show any sort of problem so the issue must be with the source file or the playback device - again, a 'verify' would come in handy here to check the disc did actually burn ok.

You've not done anything wrong there. What players have you tested it on? What makes are they? Does the disc play on the PC? Enable 'Verify' next time you burn, at least you'll know the burn went ok that way. For better burn quality you should stick to 2.4x as a write speed on those discs.

You're just going to have to get some discs with a different dye. Your drive doesn't support the ones you're trying to use. You might also like to consider getting a decent external burner. (or a normal 'internal' drive but with an external usb/firewire case).

When burning to DVD-R media the program sends a command to the drive telling it how much it's going to burn - that's what's bombing out here, simply because it knows the number is too big. It doesn't send it for DVD+R (it's not required), hence no issue. It'll error out at the end of the burn instead. So long as it's book typed to DVDROM I don't see any issue with using DVD+R over DVD-R. After all, DVD+R DL works ok - right?

What's a 'Mixed Media' disc and what does it have to do with an xbox360? If you've got a problem with your burns, please post the log from the program... we can't help much without one.

Does explorer see your drives? i.e. are they visible in 'My Computer' ? You've probably got a dodgy filter driver installed that's messing everything up.

If the drive is saying there's no media in the tray, I don't see how *any* program could magically work - all the commands used to access the media should fail. I'd flash it again if I were you - and make sure there's not a disc in the drive when you do so.
