  1. All fixed This was a very obscure problem though, it must do some odd stuff with the figures when it parses the filesystem. Very glad you kept coming back to the topic though or I'd never have found the problem - it's actually kinda nice when certain software points out problems with code that no other apps seem to notice / care about! btw, this v2.3 (rev 2) appears to support the UDF filesystem. Well, I say that because I've just looked at the source code pages over here http://svn.ps2dev.org/listing.php?repname=...;rev=0&sc=0 Within the 'drv' -> 'SMSCDVD/' folder there's a file dealing with parsing UDF. So I wonder why it doesn't work??! Might be worth emailing the author or something and seeing what's up with it.
  2. If you have the actual files, just use Build mode - read the Guides forum. If that's not working (I'm a little confused now as to what you're trying exactly!), you've no choice but to make the files smaller and/or create new cells (by splitting existing ones).
  3. v2.3.2.0 is the latest version and is the one you should be using. You'll probably find the dvd content was built for a PTP layout disc rather than OTP. Sometimes when that's the case, it's not possible to correctly align a cell where it needs to be for OTP layout (which is what the DL writable discs are). All you can really do is insert some more cells in the hope it will then work. The more space used (or going to be used) on the disc, the less ImgBurn has to play with for getting the correct alignment.

  5. The burning part is very simple - and if you've already done it once, you probably did it ok. Those files you listed should be in a VIDEO_TS folder on your hdd somewhere. Just drag + drop the said VIDEO_TS folder into the Source window within ImgBurn and then click go. If your player can't play the disc, it either doesn't like the source files or it doesn't like your discs. Neither of which are really anything to do with ImgBurn.
  6. 2. As mentioned in my previous post, that's to be expected. I don't do anything with the content of the AUDIO_TS folder (well, apart from a little file ordering). I don't parse any of the files and hence there's no chance of the LB dialog coming up based on AUDIO_TS content. If the content of the VIDEO_TS folder has to span the LB, only then will it pop up. 3. DVD+R DL are better because the physical LB position can be moved. That's not possible on DVD-R DL, hence there's much less chance of ImgBurn finding a cell that'll fit with it exactly. +R also support bitsetting. Verbatim DVD+R DL discs are the only ones to use. I'm not at all surprised that the other brands caused your players to hang, they probably couldn't read the disc.
  7. Once the drive is locked, the OS shouldn't even attempt to access it - and anything that does should just fail. For some reason it appears that's not happening on your pc. Some other program is sending commands to the drive that are killing the burn. This isn't really anything to do with ImgBurn as it's perfectly able to recover from interruptions - i.e. I can 'pause' the burn for 30 mins and it'll still resume just fine. Until you find out how these commands are getting through to the drive, there's nothing much you (or anyone else) can do. Try this little experiment.... start burning something (enable test mode if you like or use a rewritable) and then open a 2nd instance of ImgBurn. See if the 2nd instance can see the drive you're currently burning to or if you get errors in the log about a device not being accessible. Obviously you'll need to make sure explorer isn't involved when loading ImgBurn for the 2nd time - i.e. don't browse to it, just click the shortcut on the desktop or something.
  8. Nope, that would be far too easy You'll need to mount the MDS in DAEMON Tools so it creates a virtual dvdrom drive out of the image. Then point Recode at that drive.
  9. I've just downloaded SMS v2.3 and I'll have a play around with it when I get a chance.
  10. So you're in Build mode and 'Output' is set to 'Device' yeah? When you've got a blank DVD+R DL in the drive, please copy + paste all the text from the 'Device' tab within the main window. Then once you've added your VIDEO_TS folder to the source box and hit calculate, please tell me exactly what it say in whatever box pops up. A screenshot could be useful.
  11. Can you please just confirm the 'Lock Volume - Exclusive Access' option is still checked in the settings on the 'Write' tab. You should also update DT and install the 1.50 SPTD interface.
  12. Does it also look like that under windows?! If not, it would appear there's some weird issue with sms - or it's done on purpose to save you drilling down loads of folders?
  13. It means the drive doesn't like the media you're using. See if there are any firmware updates available for the drive, they help fix these kinds of issues. If you're not already doing so, start using decent media. Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden discs are the ones we recommend.
  14. Click the 'Advanced' tab and you'll see one called 'Restrictions'. Sorry, I don't really know what you mean by: 'Inside the directories i can see the contents of the next folder as well!Y?' Any chance of a screenshot?
  15. That's just how the specs were defined. As I say, just relax the restrictions and you'll be able to use longer ones.
  16. Considering the drive is supposed to be locked for exclusive usage (unless you disabled / ignored that feature?), opening 'My Computer' shouldn't do anything at all. In any case, the drive should be able to recover from interruptions due to burnproof type technology. It's therefore most odd that you're having problems.
  17. I don't do anything with DVD Audio discs/files and it's very unlikely that I ever will. I've no interest in them myself, and the demand is very low. It's just not worth the hassle, sorry.
  18. ImgBurn is just a burning tool. What goes in is what comes out. You cannot manipulate anything.
  19. If you add the 2 files into ConvertXtoDVD (divxtodvd is the old name for the program - perhaps you need to update), it makes a menu for them anyway.
  20. All parts of the image (i.e. all 3 files) MUST be burnt at the same time (and to the same disc). They are part of 1 larger 'disc image' file. If any one of them is missing, the disc would be useless / incomplete.
  21. Nice one lfc Hoorah to UKTV G2 for showing all the old Top Gear eps! Although I'd already heard it, the one about Hammond's crash did make me chuckle.
  22. If you're building on-the-fly (i.e. the 'output' is set to 'Device'), it should know you're not using a DL disc and not prompt. If you're creating an image file first, it'll go by the settings.
  23. That's life though isn't it?! If you mess up driving (by going on the wrong side of the road for instance), you crash your car So long as you're not trying to force flash your drive with the wrong firmware, there's no reason for things to mess up. Sites have to issue warnings about such things to cover their own backs. I update my drives all the time and I never really bat an eyelid. It might be scary the first time you do it, but after that it's like 2nd nature.
  24. Are you using discs that your drive supports? Have you tried checking for firmware updates for the drive? As it appears to only be a DVD+ (plus) format burner, now might be a good time to buy yourself a decent up-to-date drive. That thing you're running must be a good few years old now.
  25. Make is smaller with something like Nero Recode.
