If they're dated to coincide with the crashes you experienced, upload them - assuming they're the same size as mine of course - about 70k !

See if you can find the OS's crash dump log. It could be in C:\Windows - called memory.dmp or it'll be a little file in C:\Windows\Minidump The program doesn't cause blue screens, it's not working at a low enough level. Bad drivers are the cause of them.

When it's sitting there like that, instead of aborting, just eject + reinsert the disc a few times. Maybe on one of them it'll work. In any case, just because that drive won't read it, it doesn't mean others wont.

If it says medium not present, you either removed the disc as ImgBurn cycled the tray (doh!) or it can't reinitialise the disc having just written it - that would mean you have a duff batch of Verbatims or your drive is screwed.

What message is displayed in the statusbar? Also, from what I've seen, your layerbreak position is wrong and so it wouldn't work even if your drive had burnt a decent copy.

The MD5 issue is nothing to do with where the data is coming from / going to. Those functions only work with ImgBurn's internal buffer so the original location of the data doesn't even come into it. It was simply an implementation bug. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It the luck of the draw, depending on how your OS feels that day and what's in the memory.

This has nothing to do with ImgBurn. Your disc hasn't been authored correctly or the only / default audio stream in the vobs is one that your player doesn't support - i.e. DTS. Try manually selecting the audio track by pressing the appropriate button on your remote control.

Are you trying to burn an ISO file in Build mode by any chance? I can't think of another reason to have a file > 4GB put onto a disc! Use 'Write' mode for burning your disc images, NOT 'Build' mode. EDIT: lol, yes zacoz already said this word for word almost. My bad

There might not be a problem with it in some players, but in ones that expect the discs to be written properly, ImgBurn's burns will fail. Just open up the cue file in notepad. You should see 2 track entries listed. When you burn with ImgBurn, only 1 track gets created - and when burnt properly, there would be 2. It's unusual for me to pass negative comments about my program, but I'm telling you, do not use it for VCD/SVCD - no matter what the AVI -> DVD/VCD people tell you.

Sorry, are you saying you loaded the driver from scratch or were updating one? I'm sure adding a driver shouldn't fix these things!

Well your log show you have the same issue as the person who originally reported the issue to me. It's failing, but not in a big way - and only the 'big way' stuff has extra logging behind it - hence why you don't get any. I'm sure the work I've already done in this area is enough to get it working again on your PC's. Maybe I will just slip you a beta the day before I plan to release it though so you can double check it's ok now.

If they're all average, it really just comes down to what looks best. The next version of ImgBurn has a preview facility to you can actually view the cell you select (and the one before it - i.e. which would be the last one on the 1st layer). It's also best to burn a disc with a 50/50 split of data between its layers as this is said to be the most compatible with players.

Ah ok, what I've done isn't going to help you then - I'd assumed your drive was failing to return anything, not returning the wrong thing. Could you actually please just put an RW in the drive and copy / paste all the info from that window. It would help you have 2 copies, 1 when the RW is empty and 1 when it's been written to. Thanks.
