  1. You can choose where you want DVD-ROM stuff to live when burning a DVD Video disc. The choices are: At the start Mixed in (sorted alphabetically) - default At the end
  2. You would need a special version of the program. If you're sure you're ok to do that, I'll get to work on creating it.
  3. Assuming it crashes straight away, and without a disc in the drive, if you ensure all other drives are disconnected, ok'ing each command one by one wouldn't actually take long - just as a last resort type thing. I for one am certainly interested to see where it falls over.
  4. sorry, i may have edited my last post while you were typing your own. shame the patin couffin thing didn't workout.
  5. If it works with vso, try making ImgBurn use that I/O interface instead (the Patin Couffin one). You'll have to change the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ImgBurn\IO_Interface registry entry to '4'. Failing that, the only way to try and see what's causing the BSOD is to force the program to make you click 'ok' to every single I/O command it sends - and you'd have to remember which one you last click ok to before it crashed! lol
  6. Oh right, I thought nvidia had their own sata controller, I didn't realise they were using Uli chips, sorry. You can try the 6.2.2.1 driver from http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/408 but that's all I can suggest. I've been using an SATA drive all day on an nForce 4 AMD board without any issues so it's not a general SATA thing.
  7. Do me a favour and locate the m5288.sys file in c:\windows\system32\drivers. Checkout the properties of it and let me know the exact version you're running.
  8. Of course it does then seem that you've got an optical drive on a 3rd party SATA controller (a ULI one from what I can tell). You'd be better off if it was on the main one that's part of the motherboard chipset. Optical drives have always had problems working on anything but the main controllers.

  10. If they're dated to coincide with the crashes you experienced, upload them - assuming they're the same size as mine of course - about 70k !
  11. See if you can find the OS's crash dump log. It could be in C:\Windows - called memory.dmp or it'll be a little file in C:\Windows\Minidump The program doesn't cause blue screens, it's not working at a low enough level. Bad drivers are the cause of them.
  12. When it's sitting there like that, instead of aborting, just eject + reinsert the disc a few times. Maybe on one of them it'll work. In any case, just because that drive won't read it, it doesn't mean others wont.
  13. If it says medium not present, you either removed the disc as ImgBurn cycled the tray (doh!) or it can't reinitialise the disc having just written it - that would mean you have a duff batch of Verbatims or your drive is screwed.
  14. Ah ok, I get ya I remember you saying you'd removed the gear filter driver.... are they any others that could be messing things up?
  15. There's a bit in the documentation that comes with cdrwin www.goldenhawk.com
  16. What message is displayed in the statusbar? Also, from what I've seen, your layerbreak position is wrong and so it wouldn't work even if your drive had burnt a decent copy.
  17. The MD5 issue is nothing to do with where the data is coming from / going to. Those functions only work with ImgBurn's internal buffer so the original location of the data doesn't even come into it. It was simply an implementation bug. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It the luck of the draw, depending on how your OS feels that day and what's in the memory.
  18. This has nothing to do with ImgBurn. Your disc hasn't been authored correctly or the only / default audio stream in the vobs is one that your player doesn't support - i.e. DTS. Try manually selecting the audio track by pressing the appropriate button on your remote control.

  25. Are you trying to burn an ISO file in Build mode by any chance? I can't think of another reason to have a file > 4GB put onto a disc! Use 'Write' mode for burning your disc images, NOT 'Build' mode. EDIT: lol, yes zacoz already said this word for word almost. My bad
