when I Google your Lite On JLMS XJ-HD166S it comes up as a DVD Rom not a burner .Theres a load of threads on this Model and they are pretty much all negative,or at least the firmware, your firmware was to increase playability issues with the drive .Suggestions to clean the laser lens brought mixed reviews I guess you need to post what burner you burned the dvd's with and what media you're using and like its been said you should post a log, thats what provides info everyone needs to look at -
"Personally, I prefer my woman not to be so heavily armed when wearing bathing suits...but tastes vary." a pair of 38's should be about right in the armament category

dont believe that the NEC drive supports that option
-
those are the Verb -R ,16X printables ,I've bought 200 and they all burn and verify fine although I do use an NEC3500. I dont believe that you close the -R format , its only the +R you can manually close but not 100% sure

IMGburn burns ISOs and doesn't READ anything so if you're trying to watch your DVD's with IMGburn its never going to happen you want to watch your DVD's on the computer ? You need a program such as Power DVD or Windows Media Player or the free program Media Player Classic I think its called then you can .You can also download Daemon Tools and watch your ISOs on the hard drive with it .Its a virtual drive

what would the crime be assault with a friendly weapon
-
yeah ,starting with another HD to test is the way to go ,you can usually find them really cheap in computer repair shops ,they wont be very big gig wise but you can get a 9 gig for $5 or so thats what I paid for one to test something on .A friend of mine has gone through 3 hard drives in 2 years for no reason I can find I have the same drives in my comp and haven't had a seconds worth of problems ,computers dont you just love them :&

Device buffer empties when ImgBurn windows doesn't have focus
polopony replied to Defenestration's topic in ImgBurn Support
I've never had a bad burn while using IMGburn and before that the other program and haven't made a coaster in over three years and I don't know how many burns . The coasters I did make were my fault .I use good drives and quality media read Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden .Comparing IMGburn to Nero I don't see why ,IMG is a relativly new program ,is excellent ,ever evolving ,getting better and better ,and free to boot, and has support that no other program comes close to .This program is LUKs baby/toy to do with as he will and he's more that agreeable by adding features that members would like within reason .I personally think all the comparison is unfare and if in your opinion Nero is the superior burning program then by all means you should use that its great to have choices -
memorex discs suck and it will only be a matter of time untill you get more error messages ,pick up some Verbatim discs ther're high quality and great success rate . you dont have to verify the discs as its already burned ,verifying checks the burned disc against the ISO image, if it verifys ok then you have a good disc MATSHITA these drives never had a good reputation I dont know if the newer ones are better .
-
sure it'll go lower just as soon as blu ray takes hold and discs can hold 50 gigs DL's will drop way down all other media went the same way Ritek GO4's were as much as $1.67 each now Verbs are 23 cents each and much better than what Ritek has turned into

If you're that paranoid then it surpasses issues with IMGburn, turn off the look for updates .As paranoid as you are I'm suprised that you surf the net and heres a tip theres nothing that cant be hacked if you put in enough time and effort .Between your paranoia and the poster wanting to know if IMGburn has spyware installed I'm at a loss for words The member with the spyware question where does he come for an answer IMGburn forum ,does that make sense

Shrink Can't Open ISO's split to 3.99 GB on FAT32
polopony replied to calweycn's topic in ImgBurn Support
it may be a stupid question but are you sure that those files were not corrupt to start with ?I've been using NTFS for as long as XP pro is out and cant say I've lost anything, but files I have downloaded have been corrupt especially where music was concerned -

you dont say what OS you're using but if its xp you might consider converting to NTFS and it wont be an issue. You can also remove and re install Shrink and see if that helps -

thats been covered by Kev's avatar how about the right to arm bears
-
is everything set up correctly for your area eastern time, central, etc. the difference of an hour makes it seem like a daylight savings time thing
-
seeing as how Americas freedon was acheived using the gun its no wonder the right to bear arms was made an amendment. I don't think any country in the world that became free became that way because the occupying force just decided to go home it was always through armed struggle always will be

with half a brain and some really common items ie car antenna ,oldstyle bottle/can opener, tape and rubberbands and a block of wood you can make a gun ,or is it preferable to do the lock in the sock a rock, machete, baseball bat, tree branch and a million other things .If someone is out to really hurt you can you stop them when they dont care what happens to themselves (you can read suicide bombers here ) theres no way short of killing that person to protect yourself

does everyone think that Washington DC is some safe haven ,its only a government center surrounded by some pretty bad slums and lots of people trying to get by anyway they can, guns, dope, robbery and all sorts of other crimes.
