IMGburn DOES NOT decrypt or "rip" anything its as its name implies its a burning program namely ISO's and with the release of the new version 2.0 it can also create an ISO from video files(unencrypted ) but it is not a replacement for DVDD. For legal reasons we dont discuss ripping or defeating copy protection here
-
a hint, this program burns ISO's

you're on a roll first princo and then Ritek GO5's not that much better .Take a look at www.digitalfaq.com for media ratings we only recommend Verbatim and Yudens these days they really are the only ones you can count on .Finding the best media /hardware can be hit and miss and then throw firmware in the mix and it can be frustrating but the Verbs and Yudens are the only way to go ,been using them for years now without a single coaster

Like Spinner says its a PAL /NTSC thing .The US uses the NTSC format and UK uses the PAL format and unless you have a setup that will play PAL ( not common in US )you're out of luck .You can convert PAL to NTSC a long drawn out proccess that in my opinion is not worth the time and effort .Google PAL to NTSC -
years ago they played with technology that would keep cars on the road a certain distance from each other and apply the brakes to mantain the distance it used radar I believe . they also had a pressurized oil tank that oiled the engine when you turned the key before starting the engine , because 90% of the wear to an engine is the first couple of seconds when the oil pump is pressurizing the crank, cam etc. I think they were both tested on Lincoln Mark Series, the pressurized oil tank was actually an option Looking at the 380 horsepower and 0-60 time of 5+ seconds doesn't impress me I had a Dodge Charger with a 2.2 engine with a 5 speed that could do 0-60 in 6.7 seconds a little rocket

plex is good but by no means the only one, the NECs are great, also Pioneer ,BenQ and a couple of others using good media is the key here I believe namely Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden even the best writers aren't going to give great results to crap media -
couple of things 1. dont post in capitals 2. we dont discuss "ripping " here will the discs play on the players ,it depends on the discs and the quality of them .We suggest Verbatim or Taiyo yuden discs as they are the best and they've played perfectly on my Sony dvd player without setting them to dvd rom a feature my burner doesn't support but none the less a good idea if yours does
-
thanks for getting back its posts like yours that add to the knowledge base here
-
post a log without de bug enabled .PS what media are you burning to
-
in order for something to be "ripped " doesn't it first have to be read and seeing how theres no read mode in IMGburn how can you make the statement that IMGburn's a "ripper ".It can build an ISO from files BUT those files had to be READ by another software program not IMGburn .Theres no logic to the IMGburn is a "Ripper" statement and trying to justify the statement is a case of "dont confuse me with the facts I've already made up my mind "

don't you think that if LUK wanted to open source the project he would have done so already FWIW the open source is never going to happen , its a program developed by LUK in its entirety and as such his to do with as he sees fit ,as for the thread generating intrest its more of a what now intrest. The comparisons to NERO get old, its not Nero and if it was a clone then why bother writing it .Its a great burning software ,its free ,gets great support . What is it you're looking for anyway to re write the software to your specs or impliment all the changes that might be benificial to you ,you're starting to alienate a lot of people at a rate I've never seen on this forum or the old one either for that matter and in my opinion thats not a good thing -
an easy fix may be to try different media ,I don use RW's myself so I dont know whats the best ones
-
verify is only comparison and not a burn so max is the way
-
theres no reason to not uninstall the previous version when you update .You can or have it saved to your hard drive should you need to go back for somee reason .The newest versions are the ones supported as they fix bugs or problems in the previous version

Locks Up and Won't Close When Over-Burning Fails
polopony replied to calweycn's topic in ImgBurn Support
its not the program thats the problem its overburning ,you also run the chance of damaging the drive for what 100mb's -
hello LFC ,it would have to be the hacked firmware the original NEC wouldn't do it
-
verify will read/compare the burn to the ISO at MAX default is fine. As for the 4x speed for burns you can burn as fast as your hardware and media will allow many tests suggest that you keep it at no more than 12x for reliability and good scans ,if you have a relatively new system you have no problem I burn at 6X with an 800meg processor with no problems and excellent results
-
saw the ten commandments thing, maybe if they called them 10 pretty good ideas it might be OK
-
I guess the sale of that bridge in Brooklyn went well then
-
you could re flash the firmware for the drive or get a newer one if available and see if it helps
-
[Build Mode] - DVD can only be read in the drive it was burned with.

Yep I got the firmware from here: http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/2500/ On my 2500a I used "Dee's ND2510 modified firmware 2A5C" - "Orig" (Because I don't know what "Fast" or "RPC1" are). It worked for me. And fixed my problem A big thanks to Liggy and Dee from CDFreaks :D Fast - Unlocked ripping speed, I think it is locked to 2x by default (don't hold me to that!) RPC1 - Essentially the drive is region free, thus meaning you can play region dvd yep its locked at 2x in default
