The I/O Buffer is what you see in the log.
-
You talk about the Buffer on the I/O tab - Page 2?
-
This link should work. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
It talks about double layer but the situation apply to single layer too.
CMC is considered low quality, probably the bottom of the barrel.
As for the Verbatim disc you talk, they probably are not from the quality line (MCC/MKM dye)
Buy them online where they list the MID/dye of the discs, if there is a posibility for you.

Disable temporary any antivirus or security program you may have installed, see if it runs then.
Make an exception for it if it runs.

Did you changed the folder for ripping in WMP? Change it back to default.
Do you sinchronized that folders to a Blutooth device?
Throw an eye to Startup for programs that you might not want to run in background once with Windows start. Here's a nice proggie http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/what_run_in_startup.html

Was the disc verified at the burn time?
Looks like a bad burn or damaged disc in time (crappy CMC media). Use quality disc from Verbatim or Tayio Yuden (Victor JVC) for precious archiving like this kind.
Try to read that disc in another computer and burn again to another disc.
You could try ISOBuster too.

Update the firmware on your drive to 1.03 and try again. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Pioneer/DVR-118L/files.html
If that don't solve the problem, read this http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
You should post the content of the log not a screenshot. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632

I'd like to find out why I can't capture from tape.
This has nothing to do with ImgBurn.
Studio 15 (I think you talk about Pinnacle) isn't able to capture from tape analog (VHS, 8mm) unless it was digitized in some way.
One way is to analog-to-digital pass-through the signal with a capable camera or through a converter box.
Pinnacle Studio 12 is the last from the series that I know it can do analog capture.
I shall continue to read ImgBurn articles, tutorials, and at some point, in the far future, be able to participate/contribute more actively with the ForumWelcome, keep it up.

Go to DVDFab forum and tell there your problem.
ImgBurn has nothing to do with this. ImgBurn can't copy protected discs.
If you manage to get a working image of the disc (it's your problem how) ImgBurn will burn it to disc exactly as is.
-
Now that you got ImgBurn, you can get rid of the whole Nero product if you don't need something from it like LightScribe or CoverDesigner.
After that go to Tool menu\Filter Driver Load Order hit the Copy To Clipboard and paste here, someone will have a look.
Read the Guides to know how to prepare your files to be burned.

Update the B103 firmware on LG and try with that burner http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH50N/files.html
-
As long as the disc was burned and verified and it plays on PC (the disc not the image), the problem seems to be the player.
Look for a firmware update on producers site that may solve the problem.
Can you show us a log with burn and verify? http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632

Sorry for warming up the dark ages, I didn't know. Glad you are on the traks now.
As for the layer brake, I think that wasn't enough room for padding.

One of the reasons I tried killing myself.
Hope that is a joke, you don't realy mean it.
The problem remain unsolved.

There where you were linked, are 5 point to try, some may apply to you some don't. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
The first, with the update firmware, falls out, you have the latest installed.
The second, you could try if you have a cleaning disc around, or do it manualy if you want.
The third also apply, try 6x and 8x speeds.
The fourth also falls out, you have a normal hight burner.
Before to go with the fifth point go and buy some Verbatim MCC/MKM dye discs and try them out.
If none of them works go and buy a new drive.
You live in the same country with Lightning UK! and you don't understand him? Hope that this is more english to you.

How is the disc play on the computer in a software player?
Does the source files (image mounted in virtual drive) play nice on the computer before burn?
Can you show us a log with burn and verify? Look in Help menu.
-
Try the Verbatims.
If that don't go either, get a new drive. Avoid the laptop/slimline drives.
Btw, SP1 for Windows 7 is out, you should consider to update.
Buffer Size Not Changing
in ImgBurn Support
Posted
I'll say that the "Read Buffer Size" from Build is for reading the files from the hard drive and "Buffer Size" from I/O is for communication with the optical drive.
LUK will explain it better if it's not like I think.
