You barking at the wrong tree
-
Look for chipset/storage drivers to update. This site may help. http://www.ma-config.com/

Your drive don't quite like that discs. 8x may produce a better burn, try it. Cleaning the lens may help too. Get some better discs from Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden, or at least discs that don't use that junk considered CMC MID/dye.

Most of the time is the bad media...
-
Read the pink baner at the top and post a log.
-
The Optiarc will do the booktype automatic and will work as external in the proper enclosure.
-
ImgBurn will warn you if you want to write the image in the Build mode and suggest to switch modes. Try and see. If you have the image of the disc you would use Write image file to disc.
-
Why not play it directly from folder? Most of the players will pick up the VIDEO_TS.IFO and play it as DVD disc.
-
The download works. Probably your antivirus/security program is blocking you.

This is an example of a card you need http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-SATA-RAID-0-1-5-10-Silicon-Image-3114-PCI-Card-Win-7-/160465798523?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item255c81c57b You can find variants with aditional USB or IDE ports if you need. Search for "pci sata card" and choose one you want. If you can use a screwdriver I'm sure you'll manage to install it.

At that link it states: Condition: Seller refurbished: An item that has been restored to working order by the eBay seller or a third party not approved by the manufacturer. This means the item has been inspected, cleaned and repaired to full working order and is in excellent condition. This item may or may not be in its original packaging. See the seller’s listing for full details. Why don't get the brand-new Optiarc 7260 that Cynthia recommend for less? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sony-Optiarc-AD-7260S-DVD-RW-SATA-2MB-Internal-Black-/350455417725?pt=UK_Computing_LaptopAccessories_LaptopDrives&hash=item5198c54b7d If you don't have SATA port on the motherboard, buy a cheap PCI adaptor and consider you just made an upgrade to your computer.

ImgBurn error - Reason: layouts do not match
ianymaty replied to sugestivo's topic in ImgBurn Support
After you clicked the green buton to find drivers, it will show a list and the drivers need update will be expanded. Post that screen so we can guide you. Don't mind the CD/DVD driver, that is generic and will work on every system. -

You need to look for chipset/storage drivers not cd/dvd drivers -

See if this site shows some outdated drivers in your configuration. http://www.ma-config.com/ -
ImgBurn error - Reason: layouts do not match

Try burning at all supported speeds. You could try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc. Try some better discs - Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Also use the current version of ImgBurn. (in case you are not using it already) -
It's pretty self-explanatory When you add a single folder the program want to know if you want that folder with all its content on disc or just the content of that folder. Select Yes if you want just the content of that folder on disc. Select No if you want the folder with all it content on the disc.

Burning several videos onto 1 blu-ray disc
ianymaty replied to JonathanGontar's topic in ImgBurn Support
I'm not familiar with BluRay but should be similar to DVD Video... Create a Bluray structure with two titles or more, that's all you need, make it fit to one disc (SL or DL as you wish) than burn it with ImgBurn. -
If you have problems, make your own thread don't hijack other's. The problem may seam similar but it's hard to follow the answers. Use this site to identify what drivers needs update. http://www.ma-config.com/

Nothing from that log reflects your description. It's just the first part (that part looks fine) so we can't know if that session was burn and verify OK. Anyway, look for chipset/storage drivers update. This site may help. http://www.ma-config.com/ Also update ImgBurn to current version
-
madFlac has an install.bat along with the files, you should just run it (as Admin if you are on Vista/7) after you extracted the archive content to a temp folder.
-
I'm not exactly sure but (anyone who knows better will correct if I may wrong) Open the cue in Notepad and add CATALOG XXX... (XXX... being your number) save and load that cue in Write mode and burn.

ImgBurn seems to be infected with some virus
ianymaty replied to windozer's topic in ImgBurn Support
If you are offended by those quotes, you can disable them in Tools\Settings\General Page 1 it's the second row at Options. But if you like them, you can leave them, don't worry it's not virus. Btw, your drive has a later firmware release here http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/AD-7593A/files.html -
How nice that people are still thinking at new ways to figure out problems and not wait to be spoon-feded. I, for my self didn't think to use IsoBuster, but you did and you confirm that the solution works. That's good to know and thank you for letting us know.

ImgBurn can't create Audio CD image from files, most of the burning programs don't support that. You have the option to use a RW disc and copy back the image of that disc or use a virtual burner. It may be more out there but I only heard of Phantom Burner http://www.phantombility.com/en/prod/phantomburner/
